Redmi 10x Series Revealed with Dimensity 820 Chipsets

Xiaomi’s subordinate brother company Redmi just unveiled its latest phones today with the 10X series. The launch took place in China and it revealed a 10X 5G and the 10X Pro as well as the 10X 4G which basically is a rebranded Redmi Note 9 for the Chinese market. So, the 10x series comes with not just 1 or 2 but 3 new Redmi phones with decent specs and features.

Redmi 10x 5G and 10X Pro Overview:

The Redmi 10x series that recently made an entrance comes with three phones Redmi 10X 4G, Redmi 10X 5G, and Redmi 10X Pro. With AMOLED displays, the new 10X 5G and 10X Pro debuted with a dual-mode and dual SIM 5G connectivity, Dimensity 820 chipsets, and precisely competitive price tag.

On the front, the 10X 5G and its Pro sibling rocks a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and water drop notches and comes with a 180Hz touch sampling rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

In terms of camera, both the phone comprises a camera module that consists of a 48MP main shooter and 8MP ultra-wide snapper but the Pro version also includes an 8MP telephoto module with 3x optical zoom and OIS as well as a 5MP macro cam. In terms of Selfie shooter though the 10X 5G has a 16MP selfie shooter while the Pro ups it to 20MP

On the inside we get the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset with 6/8GB RAM on the 10X 5G and 8GB RAM on the Pro. Also, the storage for both the phones ranges from 64GB to 256GB.  They bash in with MIUI 12 on top of Android 10 which is quite cool.

In terms of Durability both the phones come with 4,520mAh batteries with 22.5W fast charging on the 10X 5G and 33W on the 10X Pro. The other feature that both the phone comes with is an IP53 rating and headphone jacks and the Pro also gains NFC.

Price and Availability:

The Redmi 10X series will offer 4 color variants in blue, pink, gold, and white colors. The price of 10X 5G starts at CNY 1,599 ($224) 6/64GB making it the most affordable 5G phone on the marketplace. There’s also a 6/128GB for CNY 1,799($252) as well as a 8/128GB version for CNY 2,099 ($294) and 8/256GB model for CNY 2,399 ($336). And for the utmost big reveal the Official sales begin on June 1.

Redmi 10X 4G Overview:

The Redmi 10X 4G is more of a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9. It features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ LCD display alongside 394ppi pixel density and 450nits brightness.

Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor which is paired with up to 6GB RAM. And for internal storage it has 128GB RAM available on it as well. Also, the dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 10X 4G runs on MIUI 11, based on Android 10.

Now, in terms of camera, the Redmi 10X 4G bashes a quad camera setup that comes inside a square-shaped module and it abodes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens. Along with that it also has 8MP secondary sensor, a 2MP sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Also, in terms of selfie shooter, it comes with a 13-megapixel selfie camera situated just inside the display cutout.
