Xiaomi 14 is finally available for purchase for Nepali consumers after the wait beginning from the end of February since its global release. Officially hitting the market on the 31st of March, Xiaomi Nepal finally unveiled the awaited phone. This phone brings along the Hyper OS which is Xiaomi’s brand new operating system with Android 14 of course. This flagship device is also very special because of the collaboration with Leica which bumps up the camera expectations by quite a lot. It is pretty clear that Xiaomi has put in some extra efforts on this phone with how much has been packed in this phone. Find out Xiaomi 14’s specifications and price in Nepal starting with the,
Design & Display
Xiaomi has kept this phone pretty neat with 6.36 inch display with 89.3% screen to body ratio. Weighing just 188 grams, along with dimension of 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.2 mm at this display size makes it a rather rare one hand usable flagship at this point of time compared to the other big names. It also has LTPO tech so the refresh rate switching from as low as 1 Hz to whooping 120 Hz will make sure of both keeping the battery life in check to giving you the smoothest experience when surfing.
The build of this phone is definitely not the best out there but with Glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), glass back, aluminum frame and curvy edges it ironically feels really good held on hand. The phone comes with LTPO OLED display providing 68B colors, 120Hz of screen refresh rate , Dolby Vision, HDR10+. and brightness ranging 1000 nits to 3000 nits at peak.
Another great thing about the display is that it has TUV Rheinland protection that helps our eyes to a great extent. It features 1.5k resolution and 460 pixels per inch so the display in general is great. The SIM card slot comes in the frame obviously and it supports nano sim. This phone also is IP68 water and dust certified and it supports e-sim. Xiaomi 14 also offers Black, White and Jade Green as the colors you can pick from.
Performance
Performance wise this phone is pretty straight forward with its Qualcomm SM8650-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset running with Android 14 and Xiaomi’s very own and very new HyperOS. It comes with an Octa-core CPU and an Adreno 750 GPU. The show stealer here is the new Hyper OS which has been built from scratch by Xiaomi to provide the most optimal and comfortable experience to the users. The only problem here is the occurrence of ads everywhere, one swipe and you’re greeted by random ads.
Well, pretty much all the ads can be disabled and the pre installed apps can be deleted so it isn’t much of a big deal but it’d have been better if they didn’t exist in these flagship level phones.
As of storage, globally it comes on different variants like 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 16GB RAM, 1TB 16GB RAM but for Nepal only 12/512 is available at present time. The phone in general is really really smooth as one would expect based on these specifications and even the gaming performance is extremely good although the phone heats up quite a bit after a very constant gaming session.
Camera
The camera here is amongst the bests there is with triple main camera of 50 MP that shoots at f/1.6 (wide), 50 MP that shoot at f/2.0(telephoto) and 50 MP which shoots at f/2.2, 14mm, 115˚ (ultra-wide). Xiaomi 14 shoots videos on 8K@24fps , 4K@24/30/60fps , 1080p@30/60/120/240/960fps and 720p@1920fps and has gyro-EIS so the stability remains. The key feature about the camera still is the Leica lens and the additional modes you can shoot on with it.
The cameras on the front are 32 MP, f/2.0, 22mm (wide) and can shoot 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60fps also with gyro-EIS.

Battery and Charging
Personally, quite impressed with the Li-Po 4610 mAh battery provided here. For charging, you get 90W wired and 50W wireless charging capable of charging the photo to a complete 100% within around 30 and 48 minutes respectively. The phone should last a general user for an entire day and if you’re really pushing it it could go up-to maybe 1 and a half day.
Talking about the additional features this phone packs,
For comms, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 , dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct and bluetooth version 5.4 additionally it also offers Fingerprint (under display), accelerometer, proximity, gyro, compass, barometer and color spectrum.
Price & Availability In Nepal
At the present, the price for Xiaomi 14 is placed at रु. 99,999 and you get additional benefits like 6 months of extended warranty, a free screen replacement within 6 months and no labour charge on repairs for 2 entire years. This sounds like a good deal to me.
This phone is available at any Xiaomi stores around you or you could get it from Daraz.
The overall verdict on this phone is that it is a really good phone and actually even justifies the price range it sits at. Our current market of phones being at budget friendly segments or directly jumping to great phones at very high price needed a phone with specifications and features packed of this extent that isn’t priced too low compromising major specs and not too high making it impossible for most people to purchase.
