What is New with the RS 4
RS4 is a sequel to the popular RS3 launched back in June 2022. The RS 3 had some insane features to it already so, here’s what is new with the RS 4.
Second Generation Native Vertical Shooting
With the growing trend of vertical shooting for Social media purposes, DJI introduced a new horizontal plate. This horizontal plate makes vertical shooting easier and faster. 2nd Gen Native vertical shooting will expand the creative horizons for cinematographers as it make the vertical shooting process faster and easier compared to the RS 3.
Automated Axis Lock
The automated Axis Lock is now upgraded to make the starting quicker, better transitions and easier operation. There is a new automatic lock feature on the display that prevents any accidental touches.

Teflon Coated arm
The Teflon coated axis arm on all the three axes make for finer balancing adjustments. The fine tuning knobs and adjustable placement guide aids in making filming a little easier as-well.
High-Capacity battery grip
RS 4 can use the BG-70 high capacity battery increasing the run time to almost 30 hours. It requires 2.9 hours to charge and supports power delivery to cameras and accessories.
RS 4 also has RSA communication port that allows usage of other DJI accessories and even third party accessories. The new Joy-stick mode allows quick switching between modes for focus and gimbal controls that again, results to a smoother filming experience.

What is New with RS 4 PRO
Well, there’s a lot new with the RS 4 PRO.
Design
RS 4 pro has a new horizontal plate that allows the second generation Native vertical shooting. The roll axis now offers a dual rolling bearing. Three axes also have Teflon coating for easier balancing when using heavier cameras.

The carbon fiber axis arms also allow a payload of 4.5 kilogram to the RS 4 PRO. The upper quick release plate now has an adjustable placement guide.
Professional stabilizing
With a 20% increase in the motor torque, the RS 4 PRO is now even more stable and tracking is even more accurate.
Car Mount mode
RS 4 PRO also has a new car mount mode that operates based on the vehicle’s vibration and wind resistance data resulting in an even more stable shot.
