Nepal Rastra Bank has launched the NRB app on 30th of Asadh. The official launch was virtually inaugurated by the Deputy Governor of NRB, Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina.
Overview of the app: What features can you get?
This app is available in beta version and is still in the further progress. The users can avail for necessary information and notices published by NRB in this app. As of now, it includes regular notices by NRB; information on new rules, guidelines and research publications; daily foreign currency exchange rates, media releases and other various data available in the website too.
This app is now available Google Play Store in beta version only. Soon, it would be available in iOS as well. NRB has launched it as an extended version of the website at present. According to the press release on 30th of Asadh, the bank would collect the reviews of users about this app and then add more features in it.
This app is launched to further allow both public and the concerned ones to access the information and notices by Nepal Rastra Bank. NRB has requested the users to provide their review so that they could improvise this app for their benefit. If you have downloaded this app, you could find no difference in the contents and options with compared to the official website of NRB. However, you could post your reviews and suggest the bank to add more features (if you may) in its full version.
As the regulator of the BFIs in Nepal, NRB has been supporting for digital economy under the leadership of the Governor, Maha Prasad Adhikari. Keeping up with its efforts, it has launched its own mobile app that would be handy for the mobile users. We hope the bank would further develop this app along with improvising it from a mere extended version of the website. What could be the possible improvements in the app in your view?
