inDrive, an international ride-hailing platform, has onboarded 70,000 riders and 300,000 users in Nepal.
Roman Ermoshin, inDrive’s Director for Asia Pacific (APAC) is currently in Kathmandu. On Wednesday (September 13), he interacted with Nepali media and shared the company’s current status and plans for the future.
On the occasion, Ermoshin shared that inDrive has already applied for registration with the government and is waiting for approval.
He assured that the company will follow all the local regulations and pay taxes once the registration is complete. He further mentioned that the company will charge a platform fee of 9.99% on its service. Currently, inDrive is not charging any commission for rides in Nepal.
After the registration process is complete, inDrive will also introduce insurance policy to the riders as well as passengers, and introduce other verticals like courier service, as per Ermoshin.
inDrive started operating in Nepal from early 2022. Currently, it is available in three cities of Nepal: Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Bharatpur.
inDrive is quite popular in Nepal, for its ‘lowest fees’ on ride-hailing service.
Ermoshin said that he is also impressed by the response and support from the Nepali people and hopes to serve them better in the future.
The company claims to be the second-most downloaded ride-hailing app in the world, with over 150 million users in 47 countries.
