Motorola recently got hype with the launch of Moto Razr 5G, the folding phone. Now, the company is looking to expand the “5G” connectivity in it’s budget devices with the launch of Motorola Moto G 5G. Looking at the specs and price, the device looks promising to compete against recently launched Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Moto G 5G Overview
Moto G 5G is launched in two color options, Volcanic Grey and Frosted Silver. The fingerprint scanner at the back has Motorola logo on it. However, the design is definitely not the strongest side of the phone. The beauty lies in it’s internals.
You will get 6.7″ FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD screen with HDR10 support, which is rare in this price point. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G (8 nm) processor, which is 5G enabled chip-set. It comes under Snapdragon 765G in performance, but the difference is negligible as it is equally capable CPU. The device comes in two variants, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB combinations.
The back camera module includes triple camera array with 48MP, f/1.7 primary, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and 2MP macro camera. You will get 16MP front facing camera for your selfies.
There is 5000mAh battery, but with just 20W fast charging. You would expect the charging speed to be around that 30W+ mark in 2020, but not this time though. The phone runs on Android 10 out of the box.
