KEC LITE 2024 to Showcase Student Innovations, Robotics & Engineering Projects

KEC LITE

Kantipur Engineering College (KEC) is preparing to host its annual inter-college technology exhibition, KEC LITE 2024 (Learning and Innovating Technology for Enhancement), on February 21 and 22 (9 and 10 Falgun 2080). The two-day event will bring together students from different colleges and institutions to showcase their creativity, technical skills and innovative projects.

KEC organises this annual exhibition to give students a platform to present their ideas and practical projects. Moreover, the event allows participants to connect with professionals and representatives from different companies.

Activities and Competitions at KEC LITE 2024

This year’s exhibition will feature a wide range of technical demonstrations and competitions. Students can participate in activities covering civil engineering, software, hardware, robotics and other technology-related fields.

The major activities include:

1. Project Demonstrations

Students will present projects from three major areas:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Software
  • Hardware

These demonstrations will allow participants to explain their ideas and show how their projects work.

2. Model-Making Competition

The model-making competition will encourage students to turn their concepts into practical models. Participants can demonstrate their creativity, technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

3. Robotics Events

Robotics will be one of the key attractions of KEC LITE 2024. The event will feature four robot competitions:

  • Robo-कुस्ती (Robo-War)
  • Robo-Futbol (Robo-Soccer)
  • धर्के हवल्दार (Line Following Race)
  • भाग Robo भाग (Robo-Race)

Through these challenges, students will test their ability to design, program and control robots in different scenarios.

4. Quiz Competition

The quiz competition will test participants’ knowledge across different technical and general topics.

5. AutoCAD Competition

Students will demonstrate their computer-aided design skills through the AutoCAD competition.

6. Shake Table Competition

This competition will give participants an opportunity to explore structural behaviour and engineering concepts through shake-table testing.

7. Attack and Defense

The Attack and Defense competition will challenge participants to apply their technical knowledge and strategic thinking.

8. Survey Rush

Survey Rush will test students’ surveying knowledge, practical skills and accuracy.

9. Integration Bee

The Integration Bee will challenge participants’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, particularly in integration.

10. Keyboard Solving

Participants will compete in a keyboard-based challenge that tests their speed and accuracy.

11. eSports Tournament

In addition to engineering and academic competitions, KEC LITE 2024 will also feature an eSports tournament for gaming enthusiasts.

KEC CareerConnect

Alongside the technical exhibition, KEC will organise KEC CareerConnect.

This initiative will connect students with employers and recruiters from different companies and organisations. Students can present their portfolios, resumes and skills directly to participating companies.

Furthermore, CareerConnect will give students an opportunity to explore career options, interact with potential employers and seek job opportunities.

Bringing Students and Industry Together

KEC LITE 2024 aims to attract thousands of visitors, including students, teachers, parents and professionals.

More importantly, the exhibition will encourage students to apply their classroom knowledge through practical projects and competitions. It will also help them build connections with other students and industry professionals.

As a youth-focused technology portal and media partner of the event, TechSathi extends its best wishes to the organising team for the successful completion of KEC LITE 2024.
