Coolpad is in no mood to settle down after launching several phones last year in Nepal. The company made a comeback in the Nepali market by launching Coolpad Cool 6 three months ago. With a focus on budget offerings, the company is trying to bloom in the Nepali smartphone market. The company has been teasing a smartphone that will be launched tomorrow in the market, for a few days now. Looking at teaser videos, we can guess what specs the phone could offer. So, let’s dive right into our speculations.
Looking At Details From Videos
For two days, Coolpad has been giving us some hints about the device saying “It’s wider”, “It’s Bigger” and “It’s Better”. If we look at the design, the phone has impressive looking gradient finish with blue color. The shiny back suggests that it could have a glass design, probably with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
“It’s wider” hints us that it should have a large form factor. Also, the display should be large as larger form factor often leads to larger display. Looking at the trend last year, we would happily welcome a display larger than 6.5″ with narrow bezels. But, it is unlikely to provide higher refresh rate display as the company is not known for providing best display technology.
Since the back of the phone is clearly shown in the video, we can guess the camera module too. The camera housing is large, meaning there could be triple to quad cameras. But, no Coolpad phone offers quad cameras in the past. That’s why the phone is likely to have just triple cameras on the back. “It’s wider” also hints us that a lens could have wider field of view as well.
Talking about the performance based on previously launched devices, we can guess that the company includes MediaTek processor. Qualcomm CPUs are pricier these days, meaning the company would be happy to use cheaper and more powerful MediaTek Helio processors these days.

As for battery is concerned, anything in the range of 5000mAh could show up, especially due to “it’s bigger” form factor. There is no sign of fingerprint scanner at the back, meaning it could be located sideways.
