Coolpad, a well known Chinese smartphone manufacturer is coming up with a new smartphone soon. The official Facebook page of coolpad Nepal clarified it. The company posted a short teaser about the smartphone. From that teaser, it seems that coolpad is planning to focus on the Budget segment of the Nepalese smartphone market. The teaser which was released with the tagline “smartphone for everyone” shows coolpad’s intent to launch a budget smartphone in Nepal soon.
After a steady crawl in the smartphone business since its inception in 1993. Coolpad actually started to show its mark in the late 2000s. Fast forward to 2012. Coolpad had become the third-largest smartphone supplier of china. With a 10.3% market share in the overall smartphone supplies in China, the company ranked Just behind Lenovo and Samsung. The prominence of innovative Chinese smartphone manufacturers like Oppo, Vivo Xiaomi OnePlus, and realme had greatly affected coolpad since the early 2010s but coolpad is bouncing back.

Looking at the teaser, we can confirm that the phone will be certainly on a budget ranging from 15-20 thousand. The triple camera sensors are clearly visible from the back and the back also looks somehow appealing. The phone houses a primary lens along with an ultrawide and depth sensor. The lED flash sits right next to the camera array and the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is visible.

Coolpad entered the Nepali smartphone market back in mid-2017. The company primarily focused on the mid-range segment of the Nepalese smartphone market which ranges from 20 to 40 thousand price bracket. The company has been very active in the Nepalese smartphone market after 2019. It launched Coolpad Cool N7 Plus, Cool X.
