Introduction
Amazon has introduced a new accessory called the Kindle Click, designed to make e-book reading more convenient. The compact Bluetooth remote lets users turn Kindle pages without touching the screen.
Priced at $34.99, the Kindle Click features dedicated buttons for turning pages and side controls for adjusting screen brightness. It can be useful when the Kindle is placed on a stand, used in bed, or positioned on a treadmill.
The accessory arrives alongside Amazon’s redesigned 2026 Kindle lineup.
Overview
What is Amazon Kindle Click?
The Kindle Click is a small Bluetooth remote made specifically for Kindle e-readers. Instead of reaching for the Kindle screen, users can press the remote to move forward or backward through a book.
Amazon says the remote is compatible with Kindle devices released in 2024 and later.
Who is it for?
The Kindle Click could be useful for:
- People who read in bed
- Kindle users who read while exercising
- Readers using a Kindle stand
- Frequent travelers
- Users who prefer physical controls
- Readers who want hands-free page turning
Why does it matter?
Turning a page normally requires touching the Kindle. However, that can be inconvenient when the device sits farther away.
The Kindle Click solves this with a simple physical remote. As a result, readers can keep the Kindle stationary while controlling the pages from their hand.

Design & Build Quality
The Kindle Click has a compact remote-control design. Its two main buttons sit on the front, allowing users to move forward and backward through a book with a thumb press.
Meanwhile, smaller buttons on the side control the Kindle’s screen brightness.
The remote also comes with a wrist strap. This makes it easier to keep track of the small accessory while reading.
Furthermore, Amazon has designed the buttons to provide a soft and quiet click, which suits quiet reading environments.
Bluetooth Connectivity
The Kindle Click connects to compatible Kindle e-readers through Bluetooth.
Once connected, users can control page navigation without physically touching the Kindle. This can be particularly helpful when the e-reader is mounted on a stand or placed at a distance.
The remote supports Kindle devices released from 2024 onward.
Hands-Free Reading
The main purpose of the Kindle Click is simple: read without reaching for the screen.
For example, users can place their Kindle on a stand while exercising on a treadmill. Similarly, readers can keep the device on a tray table during a flight and turn pages using the remote.
It can also make reading in bed more convenient. Instead of reaching toward the screen, users can simply press the remote.
Amazon says the accessory was partly inspired by new reading setups popular on social media, including hands-free setups where readers use stands or mounts.
Charging
The Kindle Click uses USB-C for charging.
Amazon has kept the accessory small and lightweight, so it can easily fit into a pocket or reading setup alongside the Kindle.
However, Amazon has not positioned it as a replacement for the Kindle itself. Instead, it works as an optional accessory for readers who want more convenient controls.
New Kindle Lineup
The Kindle Click launched alongside Amazon’s redesigned Kindle family.
The 2026 lineup includes a new 6-inch Kindle, an updated Kindle Paperwhite and the latest Kindle Colorsoft. Amazon has also introduced new aluminum options and flush-front displays across the range.
The new base Kindle starts at $149.99 and comes with 16GB storage and up to six weeks of battery life. An aluminum version with 32GB storage starts at $189.99.
Amazon is also offering a new magnetic Page-Turn Cover with physical buttons for compatible Paperwhite and Colorsoft models.
