You can Now Pay Electricity Bills up-to 5 Lakhs from Khalti Digital Wallet

Khalti Digital Wallet has integrated an electricity bill payment option into its system. It has signed an agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) where the users can now pay their electricity bills via their Khalti wallet. With the aim of facilitating customers, small, medium, and large enterprises, this integration allows users to pay for electricity bills up to Rs. 5,00,000 online from Khalti. 

The agreement was signed between NEA’s Deputy Managing Director, Mr. ManojSilwaal, and Khalti Digital Wallet’s Business Development Manager, Mr. JonaamBhurtel.

Speaking about the agreement Khalti’s Business Development Manager, Mr. Jonaam Bhurtel shared,

“Now, customers no longer have to face the hassle of visiting the NEA office to pay their bill. They can make their electricity payment online from the comfort of their home. We believe that this service will definitely contribute to making our dream of Digital Nepal come true”

Here’s How to To pay the NEA bill from Khalti:

You can pay electricity bills online from 10 am to 12 midnight. Here’s how to make payment:

  1. Go to Khalti’s homepage and tap on the “Electricity” icon, 
  2. Enter the required details
  3. Tap on ‘Get Details’
  4. Confirm the details and click on “Proceed to Pay”

Not only that, you can view the sample bill as well which could guide you while entering the details. You can pay for your electricity bills in the comfort of using your own devices, staying at home.
