Realme, the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand has launched two new smartphones Realme C20 and C21 in Nepal too under its C- series which is loved by the global audience. Both, Realme C20 and Realme C21 have been launched at an affordable price in Nepal. Combining entry-level and budget levels, realme has presented this phone with a mega display and decent price. Focusing on young customers, this brand has strategically included the ability to conduct daily life needs, photos and battery life with these smartphones.
realme C21, realme C20 Overview:
And an interesting point, Realme C21 became the world’s first smartphone with TÜV Rheinland High-Reliability Certification. The certification is based on the initial 3-year smartphone life cycle experience. It encompasses 23 major tests, including 10 daily use test scenarios, such as drop, wears, and tear; seven extreme environment test scenarios, voltage fluctuation, button life etc. Though we must last for some time to dig out what’s so fabulous, let’s go.
Design and Display
For the first impression, both devices have retained the design that looks a lot like Realme C12. It has a polycarbonate body. It features a square camera module on the back and c20 features a vertical strip that runs along the length of the device from the module with its branding while C21 comes with a geometric art design.
On the front, there is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with Gorilla Glass 3 for better durability. Though C21 has skipped any sort of gorilla glass protection. Being a budget phone, this display has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The device has a waterdrop notch to house the front-facing camera. Also, both devices are available in two options; Cool Blue and Cool Grey/ Black.
Chipset, Storage and Software
Sadly, there is nothing new relative to other phones of c-series as it again paired MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. This 12nm chipset has been paired with 2GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB for Realme C20 and 4/64GB for C21. Though a microSD card slot can prove its worth here, internal storage is expandable up to 256GB. Furthermore, moving about software, a question arises, why isn’t realme upgrading to higher versions as it still launches its phones in realme UI (1.0) on Android 10?
Developer starting previews for Android 12 have already begun rolling out as Android 11 is already there for half a year. Seeing Realme continuously fail to adhere to the latest OS is more disappointing and might become a weakness in its marketing too. But new reports suggest that the Realme C21 is finally getting the Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) update.
Cameras and Battery
In terms of cameras, Realme has presented its latest C21 With a triple-camera arrangement here. There’s a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera with 4x digital zoom. You get a 2MP lens for portrait shots and a 2MP macro camera with a 4cm focus distance. Whereas Realme C20 users will have to limit themselves with 8MP AI primary single camera in the rectangular back.
From this time, you can enjoy Realme’s camera features like Super Nightscape, Chroma Boost, etc. on this phone too. Coming to the front, you’ll find a 5MP AI selfie camera inside the waterdrop notch. In terms of battery, both are using massive 5000 mAh batteries for fueling. There is no mention of charging speed but this one comes with a micro-USB charging port. Adding Connectivity, the devices have a dual-SIM slot (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1.
Price Drop for Realme C11 2021 and Realme 8
From the perspective of design and colour option, C11 2021 is the same as C20 though the difference you will see is in its performance as it features Unisoc SC9863 (28nm mobile platform ) as chipset and Realme UI on Go edition of Android 10.
Alongside, Realme 8, the brand’s latest mid-range phone categorised under the realme number series has finally made its way with improved performance and reliability. Realme 8 ventures Super AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset, 64 MP sensor trendsetting photography features for sharper photos & better night image quality, 5000mAh massive battery with 30W fast charger, stylish design without ” Dare to Leap” captioning.
