Recently Xiaomi has announced it will not be providing updates to certain smartphones. This list includes smartphones from Xiaomi as well as Redmi. Xiaomi confirmed that it has listed 10 more smartphones in the EOS list. EOS stands for End of Support and this means that no updates will be available for devices in the upcoming years.
Smartphones produced by Xiaomi normally get 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security updates after coming into the market. All the smartphones that are in this list were launched in 2019 and this list also includes Mi tablets that were first launched in 2018.

Here is the list of all the smartphones that are updated at end of the support list smartphone by Xiaomi.
- Mi Pad 4
- Mi Pad 4 Plus
- Mi Play
- Mi 9 SE
- Redmi K20
- Redmi Note 7
- Redmi Note 7S
- Redmi Note 7 Pro
- Redmi 7
- Redmi Y3
These are all the smartphones that are added to the EOS list by the company. Among all of the smartphones above, Redmi K20 is one of the most popular smartphones which was released in 2019 and used to run on Android 10 and MIUI 12. This smartphone will not be compatible with MIUI 13 and the new Android version. Also, this EOS list includes Redmi Note 7 series and MI Pad 4 tablet series.

While Xiaomi has clarified that all these devices will not get future releases, this does not mean that it will not will be taking care of the smartphones in the case of serious security breaches as well as vulnerability. In the occurrence of serious threats, this device will be getting updates to fix such serious issues even if the device is listed in the EOS list.
