After getting renamed for the international version from the OnePlus Ace 3 to the OnePlus 12R, it finally gets unveiled in Nepal. The phone is expected to hit the market in the second week of feb. After having the huge success of the OnePlus 11R in the subcontinent, following its footsteps, OnePlus Launched the 12R with the hope of replicating the similar success. It might be able to do it in the Indian market when it releases on Feb 06, but in the Nepalese market ,I think it will be a challenge for OnePlus as the price is comparatively more.

This year’s flagship killer from OnePlus comes with last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and triple rear cameras. Let’s have a quick glance at it first impression:
Design and Display:
The device measures 163.3 x 75.3 x 8.8 mm (or 6.43 x 2.96 x 0.35 inches) and weighs 207 grams (or 7.30 ounces). It is constructed with a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 front and an aluminium frame. The device supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and is rated IP65, making it waterproof and dustproof.
The display is an LTPO4 AMOLED type, capable of displaying 1 billion colours. It supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and can reach a brightness of 1600 nits (HBM), peaking at 4500 nits. The screen size is 6.78 inches.
The resolution of the display is 1264 x 2780 pixels, resulting in a density of approximately 450 pixels per inch. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Performance:
Internally, the OnePlus 12R is equipped with the previous generation’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This chipset, fabricated by TSMC using a 4nm process. The Adreno 740 GPU is responsible for graphics processing. To maintain optimal temperatures, the device utilises the same dual VC cooling setup of the same size as found in the standard OnePlus 12 model.
Cameras:
The primary camera system is a triple setup, featuring a 50 MP wide-angle lens, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. The camera system also features an LED flash for low-light conditions, HDR for a wider dynamic range, and panorama for capturing wide scenic shots. It supports video recording at 4K resolution at 30/60 frames per second, and 1080p resolution at 30/60/120/240 frames per second. The gyro-EIS and OIS ensure stable video recording.
The selfie camera is a 16 MP wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.4 and a focal length of 26mm. The sensor size is 1/3″, and the pixel size is 1.0µm. It also supports HDR and panorama, and can record videos at 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second with gyro-EIS.
Battery:
The phone comes with an even larger battery than the 12. The OnePlus 12R is equipped with a robust 5500 mAh non-removable battery. It supports 100W wired charging, which is advertised to charge the battery from 1% to 100% in just 26 minutes. Sadly, it doesn’t support wireless charging.
