After making a comeback in Indian market, Micromax has announced it’s comeback in Nepalese market as well with the launch of In Note 1. In addition, Micromax plans to expand the market share in Nepal with plans to bring more smartphones this year. The phone is made in India and poses a threat to existing smartphone brands, in terms of value for money. The smartphone brand, after disappearing for couple of years, is all set to impress Nepalese customers with great features like quad camera, impressive processor and display, all for under NPR. 20,000. In Note 1 packs almost similar specifications as Redmi Note 9, but for lower price. So, let’s take a look at Micromax IN Note 1 with full specifications and price in Nepal.
Micromax IN Note 1 Overview
Design & Display
The design of the phone is fresh and trendy, with X pattern on the back. The back almost looks similar to Honor 9X though. On the front, you will get a punch-hole notch, housing the front camera. The phone comes in two color options, Green and White. Green variant looks cool though.

Talking about the display, it has regular 60Hz 6.67 inches FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. There is oleophobic coating on the front to keep away fingerprint smudges as well. Considering the company’s previous phones, it’s a huge upgrade in terms of display for sure. It has 450nits of peak brightness as well.
Performance
On the performance side, we get MediaTek Helio G85 gaming processor. If we talk about the competition, Redmi Note 9 offers the same CPU. It is Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) processor, built on 12nm fabrication process. So you can expect medium gaming experience, if not hardcore gaming from the device.
The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage options. You can expand the storage via microSD card as well.
Camera
On the camera side, we get familiar camera housing as some of Samsung’s mid-range phones. On the rectangular camera module, we get quad camera setup with 48MP, f/1.8 primary lens, 5 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide sensor, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. This camera setup looks interesting on paper. But, it will require full testing to give a verdict on camera quality. For selfie, you will get 16 MP, f/2.0 single camera on front.
Software and Other Features
Micromax IN Note 1 comes with stock Android 10 experience. The company has promised to give 2 years of major software upgrades. Neither you will get any bloatware on the skin, nor there are annoying ads like some Chinese manufacturers out there. It’s good to see small companies emphasizing on software, along with hardware to keep the phone going for the long run.
The battery on the phone is massive 5000mAh battery with 18W type-C fast charging support as well. There is a physical fingerprint scanner at the back for security. However, there is no mention of any water-resistant coating on the device to protect against water splashes and dust.
