LG, Samsung, and Sony have always been at the top of their game when related to selling the best of televisions in Nepal but they are not that affordable. That’s what Xiaomi, which not only manufactures smartphones but a whole ton of gadgets including TVs, is aiming to target with its launch of two new affordable televisions in Nepal recently. These TVs provide a lot of features for much less as compared to premium TV companies.
Let us take a quick look at their specifications and you can consider buying it after that.
Mi TV 4A Pro (43-inch)
This one’s the smaller and cheaper of the two. The display is of 43” 1080p 60Hz Full HD+ resolution with a 6.5ms response time. Even though it is said to be an upgraded version of Mi TV 4A, the differences only include an extra USB slot for connectivity in the 4a Pro and its bigger size as the regular Mi TV 4A only comes in a 40-inch model. The similar build quality and design on both models (this and 55-inch Mi TV 4X) is pretty good for its price. The bezels are thin and you can easily wall-mount the TV.
It is an Android TV that runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with the help of its 64-bit quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB eMMC internal storage. The dual 20W stereo speakers integrated into the TV facilitates a great surround sound experience. Since the TV has embedded Chromecast, you can cast (mirror) your other devices on the TV as well. For ease of use, the TV comes with a 12-button Bluetooth Mi remote, and voice control is also available for Google Voice search or summoning Google Assistant.

Mi TV 4X (55-inch) 2020 Edition
It is the mid-range lineup from Xiaomi that offers high-end features like 4K-HDR at a much affordable price. For now, only the 55-inch model of it has been launched in Nepal. The display is of 55-inch 4K resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 178-degree viewing angle, and 6.5ms response time. It is said to be a 10-bit HDR display but I will have to test it out myself to be 100% sure.
It is an Android Tv obviously but has the same quad-core processor and GPU that powers the Mi TV 4A Pro. It has Patch Wall OS 2.0 which runs on Android 9.0 instead of 8.0. There are various built-in apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Google Play Store along with Chromecast and Data Saver options in the TV which are complemented by 2GB RAM and 8GB eMMC internal storage. The dual 20W speakers integrated into the TV support both DTS-HD and Dolby Audio for a great cinematic experience. There is voice-control support, Google Assistant, easy to use remote, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and enough ports to satisfy all your connectivity needs.
