Apple’s September 2022’s event has its invitations being sent out already. Yep, it’s that time of the year already. So far, we had 2 events from Apple in 2022, the first one on march 8th introducing the new Mac Studio and Studio Display, new iPad Air, new iPhone SE, and iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro in two new shades of green. Then on June 6th, the WWDC event happened and it revealed the new MacBook Air, 13‑inch MacBook Pro, iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, and watchOS 9. Further down the year, Apple is already prepared to unveil its iPhone 14 line up, more.

Apple never does anything without a purpose, mentioning that the event announcement poster and the name ‘ Far out’ could mean something. I am not certain because this could be the crazy fan in me speaking but I assume this could mean something about the release of the satellite connectivity. With the release of the iOS16 public beta version for use, we have seen multiple tweaks with the use of Astronomy thus, it could mean otherwise too. Now, these are just assumptions but what’s certain to launch this September is the new iPhone 14 series.
This time the lineup is expected to be a little different from all these years according to the leaks, last year we got the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 pro, and finally the bigger iPhone 13 pro max. This lineup is now left behind as the mini-series is being discontinued from 2022. This year, we are getting the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 pro, and finally the iPhone 14 pro max.
iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Max
For the iPhone 14, there’s not much looking like a remarkable upgrade. It is rumored to use the 13 pro’s camera system without the telephoto obviously and also the same GPU from the iPhone 13 pro. The exciting phone here is the iPhone 14 max as it is going to be sized above 6 inches providing bigger battery life than the regular iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 pro.
I expect this particular phone to be a mega-seller as it is expected to be priced below 1000$ and a lot of people generally purchase the top-end iPhone, usually the pro max precisely for the size so I expect this phone to replace that. Software upgrades and a few other tweaks here and there can be expected too but it’s clear that the iPhone 14 is not going to be the show stealer.
iPhone 14 pro & iPhone 14 pro max
Now, the launch I am highly excited about. The new iPhone 14 pro and the iPhone 14 pro max. This year, I am looking forward to the major change in display since the launch of the iPhone X series. The introduction of the notch from the iPhone X brought up a revolution in the entire smartphone market and this time Apple is now rumored to remove the notch. Not only this but it is also rumored that this iPhone 14 pro and the pro max will use the biggest camera sensor out of all of the iPhones out yet by the use of a massive 48MP sensor.
With Apple’s optimization and this camera upgrade, I am looking forward to a big change in the smartphone camera standards. This phone is going to be a big deal setting up high standards for other flagship devices. I am expecting 8k video shooting in this device which will make it a game changer. Another big change to the iPhone 14 is going to be the switching to the punch hole-ish display. I do not know what to call it yet and the use of the better A16 chip is for sure taking this phone and the whole smartphone market to a completely new level.

The new Apple Watch series 8
Not just the iPhone, I am expecting the launch of a new Apple Watch too. Although according to the rumors there is no major change in the watch. There is no upgrade in the chipset this time either. Not the most exciting product but there are a few feature rumors like low power mode that will increase the battery span and even a body temperature sensor.
Now, the exciting part is there could be a new Apple Watch Pro with a bigger 50mm casing and a more durable titanium finish. It is also rumored that there could be a newer exclusive design with this watch and like it’s done with the iPhones, the Apple watch Pro could have a better chipset too. It is also rumored that there will be a launch of the Apple Watch SE with the same chipset as the new series 8.
Other devices
Now the devices I mentioned earlier are the highlights to me but there is more. A new generation of the AirPods could be introduced that uses Apple’s very own Airplay and I expect Apple to even introduce a new iPad that switches to a landscape camera orientation and type-C port. Switching to type-C could open endless opportunities. With this event, I am expecting the availability of the iOS 16 for download too.
