Yes, it is true. Apple joins Tiktok with a verified Apple TikTok account. Even Apple couldn’t resist the ever so famous short video sharing platform which everyone probably knows by now. TikTok is everywhere and therefore, now Apple is on TikTok. However, it is yet unclear for what exact reason has Apple made this account. It can be assumed that this account could be used to run campaigns or for advertisements. Apple has already been running ads on Tiktok so it could be to further boost its efforts on the platform. Since Apple hasn’t put out any video on the platform as of now it remains to see how exactly Apple plans on using the account.
Why Apple Joined Tiktok ?
Apple’s decision to join TikTok just shows how much of an impact TikTok has been making on the internet. After its launch back in 2016, it is probably the one app that has gained the most attention. TikTok has over 800 million monthly active users as of now. Though you may fancy it or not there is no hiding from its popularity and impact on social media. There are many ‘Tiktok Influencers’ on the rise as well. Due to this, it is of no surprise that some companies have started using this platform for running their campaigns and advertising. We have also been seeing many companies coming up with TikTok competitions. In these, the participants need to submit TikTok videos relating to the companies theme, and the best one wins.
Whatsoever, it shows how companies nowadays are looking for different ways for viral marketing. TikTok ticks all the boxes as a platform for just that and it will be interesting to see if other companies also join in.
