ZTE Axon 40 Pro

ZTE is preparing to announce the next-generation Axon series flagship smartphones in the Chinese market on 9th May. The company is expected to launch three phones — Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra.

Ahead of the official launch, the ZTE Axon 40 Pro smartphone has been leaked online. The phone shows that someone is holding the smartphone, giving us a proper look at the front panel and the back panel of the device. The live images of ZTE Axon 40 have surfaced on the web with mind-blowing design scenes.

Design and Display

The design of this smartphone shown in live images is stylish and interesting. ZTE Axon 40 Pro flaunts a 6.67″ FHD+ OLED Hyperbolic Display having a 144Hz refresh rate. Unless the ZTE 40 and 40 ultra, the Pro phone has inherited the traditional punch-hole cut-out for the selfie camera in the top-center position.

Meanwhile, ZTE Axon 40 Ultra has a 6.8″ OLED Display having 2480×1116 pixels resolution and with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also has minimal bezels and it’s a curved screen, giving it a look similar to the Samsung Galaxy S-series phones.

Chipset and Memory

The rumors suggest that the chipset which will power ZTE Axon 40 Pro will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. It is an octa-core 64-bit processor with a clock speed up to 3.2 GHz. Whereas ZTE Axon 40 Ultra is believed to incorporate Snapdragon 8 Gen1 which is the flagship processor almost used by all flagship phones coming in 2022.

In the memory section, It is believed that both phones will come with Up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM + Up to 1TB UFS 3.1 Storage.

Camera

The camera bump seems weird, it is looked like it has a triple camera set but actually, it hosts the quad-camera setup of 108MP+8MP+2MP+2MP, featuring a 108MP primary camera. The first ring houses a single camera sensor while the second circular ring has two camera sensors.

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra has a triple camera set up with each 64MP camera housed in a rectangular bump.

On the front, Both devices flaunt a 16MP camera but the difference comes here as Ultra has an under-display camera whereas Pro has inherited the traditional punch-hole cutout.

Rest of the Specs

The ZTE Axon 40 Pro and Ultra both will have a 5000mAh massive battery and the charging is unknown for Pro whereas people are expecting 80W fast charging for ultra. For security, there must have been an in-display fingerprint sensor but the information has not been leaked out. The connectivity and others are yet to be announced. Stay tuned with us for more information.
