We have seen a lot of phones with a modern aspect ratio and all those notches. But the smartphone companies always struggled to hide the selfie camera. Some of them tried pop-up selfies and almost all with notches of some form. With companies trying to become first in the race to truly bezel-less phones, ZTE has brought Axon 20 5G with an in-display camera. The phone managed to hide it below the screen with the help of years of research and advanced technology. It’s exciting to see ZTE bringing new technology in the market ahead of some tech-giants.
The Three In-displays and rest
ZTE Axon 20 5G becomes the very first commercial phone to successfully implement a true full-screen display. The phone has other two in-display technologies, one being a fingerprint scanner and another one is speakers. We have already seen the in-display fingerprint sensor but the speakers are more interesting. We will have to wait and see how the speakers perform until the phone goes global. For the time being, the phone is only China-exclusive.
The phone by no means is not powerful. It has got a capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, which is a new trend in the latest upper mid-range smartphones like OnePlus Nord. The back camera is a quad-camera setup with 64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP sensors. The front camera is in-display with a 32MP, f/2.0 sensor. The phone has an impressive 1080 x 2460 pixels OLED 90Hz display which is pretty cool. In addition, the display features a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut which is very impressive for a smartphone of this price.
The phone has excellent specs for a great upper mid-range phone but its availability may be an issue worldwide. However, if the phone comes at the right time and under a reasonable price, it will be a real potential competitor for OnePlus Nord.

The phone is available only in China for now but we would like to see this phone going global quickly. The official pricing of the phone is 2,198 Yuan ($328) for 6GB/128GB variant, 2,498 Yuan ($366) for 8GB/128GB and 2,798 Yuan ($410).
