Yarsa Labs Startup Fest 2022 and Steam Camp organized by Living with ICT and has started from this Friday. This event is organized in collaboration with Nepal Telecom Authority, where more than 100 stalls are participating here.
The pre- event campaign of InfoDevelopers ICT Award 2022 in association with Nepal Telecom and Genese began at Baneshwor Banquet in Thapagaon on Friday.
Many innovators and startups took part to showcase their products/ideas and pitch the investors. The Squad of Change Makers also held a rocket exhibition and STEAM lamp at the same venue.
More than 8,000 attendees were present at the event. The event was inaugurated by showering flowers from a drone in a program held on Friday morning.
Various dignitaries like Dr. Vaikuntha Aryal, Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology attended as the chief guest in the program. Also, Mr. Ganesh Shah, Former Science and Technology Minster was the chief guest for the event.
Similarly, Mr. Sunil Paudel, Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, National Information Technology; Mr. Pradeep Paudel, Executive Director of the National Information and Technology center, and high-ranking personalities from government agencies and private individuals were present at the Startup and Idea Fest 2022.
Speaking at the inauguration program, Chief Guest Aryal said that Nepal is still weak in many aspects in the field of innovation and technology.
He added that the ministry is always standby to promote startups and innovation and to support them.
Welcoming all present at the fest, the coordinator of the event expressed that the Startup Fest has been organized to showcase startups and innovations around the country and develop the start-up ecosystem.
In the same way, former Minister Shah said that the information technology can bring a revolution that even politics has not been able to do in the country. Startups and ideas selected from all seven provinces and top 12 ICT Awards participants have exhibited their products in this 2-day event on Friday and Saturday.
100+ digital startups and innovations showcased their products in the event. In the same event, attendees can vote to the top 12 participants of ICT Awards. For this, Ramalaxman Innovation has supported by its electronic voting system.
Apart from this, steam camp is also being organized at the event till Saturday.
This event is free for anyone to participate and will runs from 11:00 AM till 5:00 PM.
The fest includes STEAM Camp, Job Fair, AI and Emerging Technologies, Gaming Competition. Participants can get a chance of investment opportunities, meeting with entrepreneurs and investors, watch the exhibition of robotics, drones, AI, VR etc
Nepal Telecom is also distributing e-SIM from the fest. Free 2G, 3G SIM conversion of Telecom to 4G during the festival can also be made at the event.
