Xiaomi didn’t wait for the new year to launch its latest flagship device, Mi 11. As probably the last flagship phone to be launched this year, this is the world’s first all-new Snapdragon 888 powered smartphone with 5G capability. Looking at the specs sheet alone, the phone can overshadow most of the flagships that came this year with a fair margin. Looking at the incredible price, the phone is all set to become the limelight in 2021. So, let’s take a quick look at Mi 11 and its expected price in Nepal.
Mi 11 Overview
Design & Display
Design-wise, there are some varieties to choose from. The phone comes with glass as well as vegan leather finish at the back. You can choose Midnight Gray, Horizon Blue and Frost White in anti-glare frosted glass finish, whereas Lilac Purple and Honey Beige in vegan leather finish.
One of the most talked departments of the device is it’s display. It is a huge 6.81″ AMOLED WQHD+ (3,200 x 1,440 pixels) quad-curve DotDisplay with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has whooping 480Hz touch sampling rate as well. The display has incredible 1500 nits brightness(max), which should be very bright indeed. In addition, it supports HDR10+ with SGS Eye Care Display Certification to reduce eye strain.
The display is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus™ to make it safe against drops and scratches.
Performance
It is the USP of Mi 11. As mentioned earlier, it is the first phone to be powered by latest flagship processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. It is the first 5nm CPU from the company, which is incredibly efficient. The CPU has octa-core design, with new Arm Cortex-X1 architecture. It has X60 modem for 5G connectivity.
As of RAM/ROM is concerned, it comes with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 3200MHz RAM with 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 faster storage. So, the performance should be very impressive on the phone.
Camera
There is no messing with cameras too. It has triple camera setup with large 108MP, f/1.85 primary sensor with OIS and AF, 13MP ultra-wide sensor with 123° FOV and 5MP macro camera as well. It would be great if the company had gone for telephoto lens, but the provided cameras should get the job done just as well. For selfie, there is 20MP camera at the front of the device.
Other Features
Mi 11 has dual stereo speakers, tuned by Harmon Kardon. It has 4,600mAh battery with 55W wired, 50W wireless fast charging and 10W wireless reverse charging support. The phone also supports 5G on both sim cards at once as well as WiFi 6. It has in-display fingerprint scanner with heart-rate monitoring as well.
