WhatsApp’s New Plan to force users accept New Policy

Earlier it was made mandatory to accept WhatsApp’s new Terms of Services and Privacy Policy by May 15, 2021, to continue using the platform. However, now it is reported that WhatsApp scraps the May 15 deadline for accepting the privacy policy and has also announced that none of the user’s accounts will be deleted on May 15 if the terms of services and privacy policy are not accepted by users. Although WhatsApp has relaxed the deadline for accepting the new policy, it will definitely be implemented.

What will happen on May 15?

The new policy will be effective from 15 May 2021 to all the users who have already accepted the new policy. But for the users who have not accepted WhatsApp’s new policy yet, they’ll be shown a reminder to accept the new policy. After a few weeks of limited functionality, you won’t be able to receive incoming calls or notifications and WhatsApp will stop sending messages and calls to your phone. After few weeks, users will not be able to access these limited functionalities also, and as reported by WhatsApp, it deletes inactive accounts after 120 days.

As of now you can not change your decision once you have accepted the Terms of Services and Privacy Policy.
