Redmi Note 10 Pro Max was launched in India more than two months ago. The same global variant is launched in Nepal as Redmi Note 10 Pro, so there will be no Note 10 Pro Max this year. Overview

Design & Display

The design gets a fresh look in comparison to previous generation. It has frosted curved glass back, instead of glossy back on Note 9 Pro/Max. There are 3 very interesting color options on the phone, Glacier Blue, Onyx Gray and Gradient Bronze. We think Bronze one looks fresh and eye-catchy. However, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 instead of 6, like we’ve seen on Poco X3 Pro.

In terms of display, it is just incredible. There is a 6.67″ FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED HDR10 display with 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is surprisingly good for a phone of this price, as couple of years ago, it was thought to be almost impossible for a phone to have both 120Hz and AMOLED in this price. The display has 1200nits of peak brightness as well. With 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, the phone is strongest in its display department.

Performance

As of performance, we get Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G octa-core CPU. It is the same processor used in Poco X3 last year. The company could have gone with a bit better chip-set, but that would be too much of an asking from the phone of this price. However, this in no incapable chip-set by any means. It is built on power efficient 8nm process that delivers high performance, thanks to it’s Cortex-A76 based two cores. There is Adreno 618 as GPU as well.

In terms of RAM/ROM configuration, there is 6GB/8GB RAM option with 64GB/128GB ROM option.

Camera

It is one of the USPs of the phone. It is, in fact, the cheapest and the only mid-range phone in Nepal with a 108MP sensor. On the back, we get quad camera setup with 108MP, f/1.9 sensor that uses 9-in-1 pixel binning technology, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP tele-macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The tele-macro camera uses 2X zoom to produce macro shots. There is night mode 2.0 to enhance your images in dark environments.

For selfies, there is a 16MP, f/2.45 shooter on the dot notch up at the front.

There is 5020mAh battery on the phone with 33W fast charging support. Note 9 Pro is IP53 water/splash/dust resistant. There is 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone.
