Xiaomi Nepal has finally launched Redmi 9 Power, the another competitor in Nepal’s entry-level smartphone segment. The phone delivers an eye-catching design and comes with 48MP Quad Camera Setup and massive 6000 mAh battery, one of the biggest in Redmi series.
Redmi 9 Power Overview
Design

Redmi 9 Power offers plastic frame with plastic back, which is expected in the price range. There is a water-drop style notch at the front with big Redmi branding at the back. Xiaomi has given some fancy names to color options for the device: Mighty Black, Fiery Red, Electric Green, Blazing Blue
Display & Performance
The phone offers 6.53″ FHD+ IPS LCD screen with 400 nits brightness. Gorilla Glass 3 covers the display. On the performance side, we have latest trendy processor in budget segment, i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 662. We can expect more than enough performance for regular usage. However, the same cannot be said for long term usage and gaming. But, we only get 4GB RAM option, and not 6/8GB RAM as seen on Redmi Note 9 4G. Storage on the device is 64GB/128GB with UFS 2.1/2.2 technology respectively.
Camera

There is quad-camera setup on the back with 48MP+8MP(ultra-wide)+2MP(macro)+2MP(depth) sensors. For selfies, there is an 8MP front facing camera. So, you will get typical camera specs as on Redmi devices and nothing fancy with Redmi 9 Power.
Other Features
There is a huge battery with 6000mAh capacity on the device, which is the largest one you will find in any practical smartphone. With 18W fast charging, you should get decent charging speed, but not great. There is water repellant coating on the device for protection against water droplets and dust. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner at the power button for security.
