Realme has launched Realme 6 and 6i in Nepal which are the successors of Realme 5 and 5i. After 4 months of launch in India, Realme Nepal has decided to extend its market for Realme 6 and 6i in Nepal. They both offer pretty decent specs for an affordable price, which the company has been known for. So, with the price tag, can it compete with other smartphones in the market? Let’s find out.
Realme 6 overview

Realme 6 is a more expensive option if we choose between two. It offers more premium specifications than 6i as expected. The most striking feature of the phone is its 90Hz refresh rate in its display panel, which is not common for a phone in this price segment. It has got a 6.5″ display panel with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. With FHD+ panel and large display, the viewing experience should not be a problem for users.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by budget gaming chipset, MediaTek Helio G90T which has octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) configuration. It is based on a 12nm process which should provide a lag-free gaming experience for gamers. With ARM G76 GPU, it can handle most of the high-end games. It’s the same processor used in gaming champ Redmi Note 8 pro.
In terms of camera, Realme 6 houses a quad-camera setup with 64MP(f/1.8, 6P lens) primary lens with Samsung GW1 sensor, 8MP(f/2.3, 5P lens) ultra-wide-angle lens with FOV of 119°, 2MP(f/2.4, 3P lens) B&W portrait lens and 2MP(f/2.4, 3P lens) macro lens. As for selfie, the phone flaunts a 16MP (f/2.0, 5p lens) with a FOV of 79.3°. So the camera has got a real potential of being a great camera phone but it can’t be said until tested.
It has got 4300mAH battery which is quite small with today’s standards. However, it should last a full day with no worries with low to medium usage. To compensate this, Realme has included a 30W type-c fast charger in the box which charges the phone 100% in 55 min(as the company claimed). So that’s a good point.

Realme 6i overview

Realme 6i can be considered as a lite version of Realme 6. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 chipset (octa-core 2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55). This SoC is expected to deliver gaming performance at a lower price. Supporting the powerhouse, the phone has a 5000mAH battery which is surprisingly better than Realme 6(4300mAH). The phone has 6.5″ large IPS LCD display but only with HD+(1600×720 pixels) resolution which is a bit disappointment as Redmi Note 9 has got FHD+ screen in the same price segment. For the protection, it is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which should protect it from minor accidental drops.
In terms of snapper, Realme 6i offers a quad-camera setup with 48MP(f/1.8) primary lens, 8MP(f/2.3) ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP(f/2.4) B&W portrait lens and a 2MP macro lens(f/2.4, 4cm focus). It is capable of shooting video at 1080P/30fps or 720P/30fps. The mini-drop notch at the front sports a 16MP selfie shooter.
