realme, the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand, introduced a new addition to its series-realme 10 Pro+ 5G. Supposed to be the first premium midrange smartphone after the lift of the 300$ import ban, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G is finally here in the Nepali market after a worthwhile wait.
Appreciated for its flagship-level curved vision display, which realme calls hyperspace design, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G has really put an effort to improve the user experience.
Munish Giri, Country Head, realme Nepal stated, “We are thrilled to unveil the newest member of the 10 Pro series, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G. This is the segment’s first smartphone equipped with a flagship-level Curved Vision Display. As a brand, we have always strived to bring as much innovation as possible to our products, and I am proud to say that the realme 10 Pro+ 5G is a perfect combination of design and technology. We are confident that this smartphone will be as appreciated and adored as its predecessors.”
Design and Display
Clean, minimalistic, lightweight, and elegant – that’s the first impression of the realme 10 Pro+ 5G. The gentle curve gives a good grip and it feels like holding a high-end phone. With the elegantly curved display that only comes with flagship-level models, realme has tried its best to keep the promise-making technology affordable.
This is the first phone by the company which has the most eye-friendly 61° OLED display with ultra-narrow 2.33 mm bezels. Flaunting the 6.7 inches wide display, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G also features an upgraded refresh rate of 120Hz.
With the 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology, realme 10 Pro+ 5G is also the world’s First OLED Display to receive a TUV Rheinland Flicker Free certificate. This means users can now feel a sigh of relief as the device filters out the blue light to protect the eyes, which is another flagship-level feature in a mid-range phone.
The screen has a brightness of 800 nits, which makes the outdoor display even more visible. It boasts a color gamut of over 1 billion and supports HDR content owing to HDR 10+ certification. To increase the durability, realme has used a specially designed 0.65mm double reinforced secondary tempered high-strength glass which is anti-scratch and drop resistant. There is also a space for a fingerprint scanner on the display which is fast and accurate.
Design-wise, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G is significantly different from its predecessor. According to realme, this new design is inspired by hyperspace tunnels and the light refraction on the rear panel is said to create a three-dimensional effect. Likewise, the device has two camera rings protruding from the back. All this comes in a slim profile of 7.78 mm and weighs 173 grams.
Cameras
Speaking of cameras, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G has elegantly and cleanly placed three of them on the back. While the 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro lenses are identical, the main sensor is improved from 50MP to 108MP.
The main camera employs new 9-in-1-pixel fusion technology. Additionally, realme claims that compared to the previous generation, the amount of light that penetrates the camera at night has grown by 123%. For selfies, it sports a 16MP camera.
The realme 10 Pro+ 5G was ranked third in a scientifically conducted blind smartphone camera test that included 16 smartphone brands released in the year 2022, including flagship-level phones, heavy hitters, and mid-rangers.
Performance
To make multitasking easier and app switching more fluid, the new realme 10 Pro+ 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset which is built on a 6nm silicon node with two Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz.
Also, realme has used a 4D game vibration motor in this realme 10 Pro+ 5G to enhance the gaming experience. Software-wise, the devices come preinstalled with the latest Realme UI 4.0, based on Android 13.
Rest of the Specs
In addition, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G has a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W fast SUPERVOOC charging. This means the phone can be fully charged in less than 50 min. The connectivity options include USB Type-C, Dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. It has two stereo speakers for audio, one on top and one at the bottom.
So overall, we can say that this is the best bang for the buck for a mid-range phone.
Price and availability
The phone is available in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option in attractive nebula blue as of now and the price is NRs. 45,999.
