Poco Nepal has just launched Poco X3 Pro in Nepal alongside the launch of Redmi Note 10 Pro. Poco X3 Pro continues the legacy of Poco F1 by being best-in-performance phone for the price. The phone is indeed an upgrade over regular X3 in terms of performance and other areas too. Poco X3 Pro is easily the best phone for PUBG lovers under 35,000 in Nepal. It has got best flagship 4G processor yet. Also, there is a large battery as cherry on top. Other than gaming, is the phone good in terms of camera and other aspects as well? Well, let’s find out in this overview of Poco X3 Pro with full specifications and price in Nepal.
Overview
To cut the cost, Poco has directly borrowed the design from X3 and we’ve no problems with that. The phone looks identical to the non-pro variant whatsoever. It has large circular camera house at the back along with large Poco branding. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 6 covering the front as opposed to GG5 on X3. The back is still made up of plastic though. The back middle stripe has textured finish.
Display
The device comes with 6.67″ FHD+ 120Hz adaptive IPS LCD display with 240Hz touch sampling rate. Yes, this is not an AMOLED display as we’ve seen on Redmi Note 10 Pro. They could’ve gone with AMOLED display, but the cost would have been higher and also, it would’ve overkilled Redmi Note 10 Pro. Eventually, that’s what we get in Poco X3 Pro.
Performance
The biggest upgrade in Pro version is in the performance department. The phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 4G processor. This is an improved version of 2019 flagship, Snapdragon 855. It is an octa-core CPU based on 7nm manufacture process and has 1×2.96 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 4×1.78 GHz Kryo 485 Silver configuration. To give you a rough idea of its capability, it scrored 4,91,412 on Antutu V8. X3 Pro has large graphite plates along with liquid cooling copper heat pipes That just would be great for gaming like running PUBG Mobile and other high end games on highest possible settings. The statement is supported by powerful Adreno 640 GPU as well.
In terms of RAM/ROM configurations, the phone comes with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM along with 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which is just rare for a device of this price range.
Camera
There is a bit of a surprise on the camera portion. Replacing 64MP sensor, X3 Pro comes with 48MP main sensor. There is an 8MP ultra-wide lens, along with not so effective two 2MP sensors for macro and depth shots. The company has lowered the megapixel count, but interesting thing would be Snapdragon 860’s image processing and algorithm as it is more capable than X3 for sure. The result might surprise us, who knows.
On the front, there is a 20MP front facing camera on the hole punch cutout at the front.
Other Features
The battery on the phone is 5,160mAh with 33W fast charging support. It comes with IP53 water/dust/splash resistance. There is a fingerprint scanner at the power button, in addition to face unlock. The phone runs on MIUI 12 based on POCO launcher. It does have 3.5mm headphone jack port. X3 Pro also comes with Widevine L1 certification for streaming Netflix and online movies in HD.
