Nokia’s journey with Google’s Android One Branding has become good. It has a wide range of Android One Phones and now the company has launched four new Budget phones during MWC 2019. The new handsets include Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2 and feature phone Nokia 210. You will find a new Android One Logo on these phones. Along with these phones, Nokia also launched Nokia 9 which is the first smartphone to have 5 rear cameras.
Nokia 4.2
Nokia 4.2 has a smaller 5.71-inch HD+ display with a water-drop style notch. It has an aspect ratio of 19:9 and has a 2.5d curved glass. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 and comes in two variants — 2 GB + 16 GB and 3GB + 32GB that can be expanded till 400 GB. At the back, you can get dual camera setup with a 13 megapixel and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is an 8 megapixel which also bring Ai based face to unlock and there is dedicated Google Assistant key. Besides that, it has face detection, autofocus, fingerprint scanner, white notification light in the power button and a led flash. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with the starting price of $169 (Rs 12000 approx.).
Nokia 3.2
Nokia 3.2 is midrange smartphones. The Nokia 3.2 has a 6.26-inch HD+ water-drop display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 SoC. The phone has 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB options and can be further expanded with micro SD up to 400 GB. It has a single 13-megapixel camera with autofocus and Led Flash on the back and front camera of 5-megapixel fixed-focus selfie shooter handle the camera department which also supports Face unlock. Nokia states that its 4000 mAh battery can last around two days. It comes with Face Unlock whereas the fingerprint scanner is available only on the 32 GB variant of the smartphone. It comes with a starting price tag of $139 for the 16Gb model and $169 for 32 GB model.
Nokia 1 Plus
Nokia 1 Plus is a larger and upgraded version of Nokia 1 which carries Android Go legacy. The smartphone has a taller display of a 5.45-inch IPS LCD with a rather disappointing 960 x 480-pixel resolution with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is functioned by a MediaTek MT6739 processor along with PowerVR GE8100 GPU. It comes with inbuilt storage options of 1 GB RAM & 8 GB of expandable storage which is similar to Nokia 1. In part of the camera, the phone has an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash, autofocus & a 5-megapixel front shooter. It has 2500 mAh battery life and runs on Android 9 Go edition. Nokia 1 Plus will be available for $89 & for $99 in Latin America.
Nokia 210
The Nokia 210 is the company’s only feature phone launched during the event. It has simple identification like a 2.4-inch QGVA display with 320 x 240 resolution, an MT6260A SoC that runs on Nokia’s Series 30+ Operating system. The phone has only one camera on the device( at back) which is a VGA camera with LED flash. The phone has internet connectivity and supports dual-SIM cards. It runs on S30 software with Opera Mini Browser, Facebook and Other apps. It has a removable 1020 mAh battery that the company states that can last for a month. The buyers can get access to a Mobile Store that can be used to download apps but due to its low storage space, it may be limited when loading apps. Nokia 210 is priced at $35 and would go on sale in March.
