For those who are new to the term Hackathon or HackFest, it is an event with a certain duration where participants create and execute an idea. The main purpose of the event is to solve real-world problems through various media. Those media can be graphic designs, simple web app, or mobile app. And yes, you don’t have to be a professional programmer to participate but basic programming knowledge with a good understanding of workflow is appreciated.
What Is KU HackFest 2021?
KU HackFest 2021 is a 48-hour long international digital hackathon being organized by the Kathmandu University Computer Club (KUCC) on 19-21 February 2021, in which over 300 students will take part in a virtual meetup environment. KU HackFest 2021 is Nepal’s First Digital Major League Hacking (MLH) Member Event. Here you will even meet inspiring personalities and mentors to guide you through your ideas. You can win exciting gift hampers, swags, API gifts, and a handful of cash prizes if your project is extraordinary and liked by the panel of judges.

How Many Members Should Be In My Team?
You can join the event even if you don’t have a team. There will be team forming session, where you will meet and be joined to teams from around the globe. If you can manage a team from your circle, you can team up with 2-4 members.
Can You Continue Your Existing Project Here?
No, you cannot. You have to start the project from scratch. Yes, you can use the experience of your previous projects but you cannot copy your previous concepts or projects. If you don’t have any idea at the time of registration, it’s not a big deal. You can get ideas after talking to your team members or other teams after registration as well.
