Designs and Display- iPhone 15 Pro Max vs S24 Ultra
Apple:
The new iPhone has kept the exact same design as we’ve already seen before. This time the new iPhone has a slightly bigger camera out except that almost everything is the same. Apple is continuing with the dynamic island and we think it is here for a while before something changes. The size of this phone is 159.9 x 76.7 x 8.3 mm and it weighs 221 grams.
The screen is 6.7 inches and has a peak brightness of 2700 nits which makes it one of the bests in the marketFor protection of display it has Ceramic Shield Glass which is extremely strong. The display supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision that makes watching any thing a pleasant experience. It also has the Always on Display feature.
Samsung:
The latest Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a few cool new changes in its design compared to the old one but somehow still looks very identical. The phone now gets mostly flat corners and is about the same size. These few changes make it a better looking phone compared to some other competitions. It has a strong Gorilla Glass on the front and back, and a titanium frame also, which is new.
This phone weighs 232g and is 162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm in size. It has all the physical features as we used to get on the previous phones and has a few new color options that all manage to have Titanium in their name too.

When talking about Display Samsung truly has it figured. It’s big at 6.8 inches, and has a smooth display with bright colors. It’s strong too, with strong glass that protects it from scratches and drops. Even in bright sunlight, you can still see the screen clearly. Plus, there’s the Always on Display too.
Both of these phones are great looking and obviously feel like the price you’ve paid to buy them. Although, the iPhone is lighter, the colors are more sophisticated, easier to hold on hands, but personally, I like how the Samsung looks. For the display Samsung should have the upper hand with the anti glare features but Apple still looks better to me.
Cameras! iPhone 15 Pro Max vs S24 Ultra
Apple :
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is considered one of the top cameras by DXOMark. It features a 48MP main camera sensor along with two 12MP cameras. For depth perception in photos, it has a TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. While it may not offer the 8K video capability of Samsung, it compensates with impressive features like ProRes Cinematic mode for 4K video recording. Additionally, the front camera can shoot 4K videos and utilizes an SL 3D depth sensor for enhanced depth perception.
Samsung :
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a really good camera setup too . The camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra features 200MP, 50MP, 10MP, and 12MP sensors. It also has features AI picture enhancement to make photos look better.
For selfies, it has a 12MP camera that can record in 4K. The main camera at the back can even record videos in 8K. It has lots of cool AI features to make taking pictures even better.
Here, both of them have something different going on. Although it may look like Apple is left behind with Samsung have more cameras and more features but apple too flaunt in depth sensing.
Arguing about the photos from both phones is pretty pointless for most of us, as the photos look almost similar to an eye that doesn’t do it professionally but again some people choose one over other like how I prefer taking photos from my iPhone. The videos from Samsung is actually praise worthy too.
Performance- iPhone 15 Pro Max vs S24 Ultra!
Apple :
When it comes to how well a phone works, it’s important to consider its performance. Apple users don’t need a lot of RAM like the 12GB in the S24. For them, 8GB is plenty, especially with the powerful Apple A17 Pro processor inside the iPhone 15 Pro Max. iPhone’s performance test results speak for themselves. It got a high score of 1,525,994 on AnTuTu and impressive scores on Geekbench 6: 2927 for single-core and 7371 for multi-core. These scores show just how well the iPhone 15 Pro Max performs, according to experts.
Samsung :
S24 ultra comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and Adreno 750 GPU chip, offering significant performance improvements over its previous model. It’s available in different storage options: 256GB with 12GB RAM, 512GB with 12GB RAM, and 1TB with 12GB RAM. While the storage isn’t expandable, it provides plenty of built-in storage for most users. When it comes to performance, benchmark reviews are essential to see how it stacks up against the competition. In Geekbench 6, it achieved a single-core score of 2297 and a multi-core score of 7142. Its AnTuTu score is an impressive 1,780,568, showcasing its high performance.
This is pretty obvious to me that when an iPhone is being compared on the basis of performance it is going to win even when Samsung has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Samsung has an extremely powerful and smooth functioning of the phone too but the A17 just takes the upper hand here with how organized and to the point it feels.
Other things that you may want to consider are the battery life and charging and all you need to know about that is Apple now has a 4441 mAh battery where as Samsung gives you a massive 5000 mAh. Here, the iPhone manages to give you 16 hours of battery life but the Samsung charges itself faster. Samsung equips the device with a 45 watt charger but the iPhone only supports 15 Watt wired charging.
Verdict
It’s a simple outcome here both the phones are great and you possibly can not have a non heated conversation with someone if you say one of these are better than the other. At this point, its comes down to what you personally like because both these phones are placed at a similar price range, both have competing features, competing looks and they are extremely powerful devices.
