Infinix Smart 8 is a basic use device. This phone is perfect for somebody who’s willing to spend not so much money on a phone and their requirements from a phone does not meet the levels of someone who wants the best pictures and the best gaming capacities from a phone. However, this phone has a decent processor and the speed is impressing for this price point. Now, we talk about the details.
Infinix Smart 8- Design and Display
This phone is really good looking for this price point. It has a 6.56 inch Punch hole IPS LED display with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a peak brightness level of 500 nits which can be a struggle under direct sunlight but you’ll notice indoors that you’re getting a little more for the amount you pay as this phone has really vibrant colors and a smooth video processing making it worth watching TechSathi’s youtube channel on. Jokes aside it really is a good display to watch videos on as there is no major inaccuracy of colors and it is really smooth. The exact resolution of this phone is 720 x 1612 pixels.
At the top of the screen there is a Punch Hole which acts like more than just a Punch Hole. It is a Magic ring that can be used to present various informations from calling, to an animation when using the face unlock. Yes, this phone has a face unlock that is perfectly working and instantly responding which is unusual for an entry level device like this one. The dimension of this phone is 163.6 x 75.6 x 8.5 mm and it weighs just 184 grams. This is an extremely light weight phone and it’s plastic frame and plastic back with a glass front makes it really really easy to hold and makes it avoidant to any fingerprints. On the left side of this phone you get your fingerprint sensor and a SIM card slot that holds 2 nano SIM card and a micro SD card.
Infinix Smart 8- Camera
This phone has a 13 MP rear camera that shoots at f/1.9 paired with a 0.08 MP auxiliary lens. The camera setup also has a Ring LED flash. Smart 8 can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second which is definitely not so good but it can be justified with the price you are paying. The good part here is that videos are not too shaky and while the colors aren’t great, it manages to do a satisfactory job overall with good lighting available for both photos and videos.
In the front it features an 8 MP camera that shoots at f/2.0. While the rear camera of this phone is actually decent for an entry level phone but the selfies are a different story. The photos lack vibrance, are over exposed at times, but again, you’re paying less than 13 Thousands so you’re not expecting to get super great photos either.
Infinix Smart 8- Performance & Battery
This phone runs on Unisoc T606 chipset powered by Android 13 Go. Smart 8 manages to do a good job on daily activities and even light gaming. Using this phone for extreme levels of gamings with higher necessities is obviously not possible but with light adjustments you can play some light weight games. This phone functions super smoothly and there is no jitters or lagging even when used for an extensive period of time, which is a problem we face in a lot of entry level devices.
Talking about the battery, Infinix Smart 8 comes with a 5000 mAh battery which is rather rare for a phone at this price point. Infinix devices are famous for their long battery life and the same is with Smart 8. You get a 10W wired charging that will take almost 2 hours to get the phone to a hundred. This device comes with 8 GB of RAM out of which 4 GB is virtual and 128 GB of internal storage. That should be enough for someone in the market for a budget level phone.

Verdict
All in all, this is a good entry level phone and whether you should get this or not depends on what your requirements are, if you want a device to shoot high quality videos, play heavy games and even have all the features available in the market, this is definitely not it but, if you’re searching for a phone just good enough to carry out basic activities and take photos that are satisfactory within रु13,000 then Bingo! This is it.
