Infinix Mobile, creating phones from 2013 have kept it consistent on releasing the best phones with the best price tags. Infinix Mobiles have proven themselves to be that brand which actually listens to the customers and provides them exactly what they need buck for buck. “Democratizing technology is the goal” says the Infinix India team and that statement seems to be proving itself correct with the new HOT 40i launching in Nepal on the 18th of April.
The HOT 40i looks to be a really promising phone with the great specifications it packs. This is a budget phone but this phone features not only one but 2 best in the segment features. Right from the memory to their camera, no one comes close. I’ve had the opportunity to use this phone recently so let me tell you all about it.

Right off the specification table, it is pretty clear to anybody with even basic knowledge about phone that this phone really does a good job separating itself from other budget phones. 5000 mAh battery, 50 MP camera that too with AI and the MASSIVE 16 GB of RAM is commendable. Let’s look at the features in depth,
HOT 40i – Design and Display
HOT 40i has a huge 6.56 inch IPS LCD Punch-Hole display that looks just right! not too big and not too small. The screen refresh rate is upto 90Hz which may sound low in today’s market but the phone is actually very properly responsive to touch, not too sensitive and not too dull however, the peak brightness of this phone is just 480 nits which will be a problem during bright sunny days.
The colors are not far off and the quality when streaming videos isn’t disappointing at all too. All of this aside, this phone has a Magic Ring as they call it with interactive Ui . The magic ring is what we could compare to the dynamic island on iPhones and a budget phone having this is a really powerful move.
The phone isn’t too big that it is hard to operate with a single hand and it is promising enough to feel good on hands too. It has a StarFall design with a square camera cut housing two cameras setup and an LED ring flash. This phone is extremely lightweight and that makes it easier to do everything right from taking photos to giving a good grip.
The back of this phone is plastic build but the feels to it isn’t cheap feeling compared to other budget phones in-fact it makes it easier as no dust or fingerprint are collected. This phone also is IP53 rated splash proof and has passed through 200+ durability tests which again is really nice for a budget phone.
HOT 40i- Cameras
The cameras in this phones are show stealers. HOT 4Oi has a 50 MP dual rear camera system with Quad LED flash that takes actual good photos. The photos processed by this phone is not unnaturally colored or whitened either. The problem with budget phone cameras is how they completely change the photo to something that is far-off from looking like the actual moment but HOT 40i manages to do a decent job. Now, the star of this show is the front camera.
HOT 40i has the segments first 32 MP front camera with a flash. The selfie game of HOT 40i is ground breaking for this segment. The selfies taken from this phone are really clear and don’t mess with your skin tone or your actual face shape either. Honestly, the 32 mega pixels do their job correct.
HOT 40i- Performance
The HOT 40i runs on an Octa-core Unisoc T606 chipset. The performance is another part of this phone that deserves appreciation. This phone comes with 16 GB of RAM out of which 8 GB is virtually expandable with either 128 or 256 GB internal storage. This is more than enough for a phone a to function smoothly. This isn’t most ideal for someone aiming to extensively multitask or play heavy graphic games. But again, this is a budget phone and it really gives you that seamless experience, meaning it’s not jittery or laggy at all. The storage is also adequate to store everything one could need from games to photos. HOT 40i is powered with Android 13 and XOS 13.
HOT 40i- Battery
HOT 4Oi is flaming with the battery its providing. It’s flaming because it has a massive 5000 mAh battery that is extremely adequate for a general user. It can last one or maybe even more than one day of use. If not played games and used only for basic purposes, it is sure to last you almost two days and it comes with an 18W charger which isn’t the fastest but gets the job done in about an hour and half or so.
PRICE AND LAUNCH DATES – HOT 40i is to launch in Nepal within 2 weeks and the expected price of this device is under रु 20,000 for all variants . This could be a very wise pricing for the features this phone packs and the “first in India” features it holds. All in all this is a really good device for someone who just needs an everyday phone with basic necessities and a little bit of fun whilst not breaking the bank.
