Huawei is a well-known tech brand that produces all kinds of devices, such as smartphones, routers, tablets, and wearables too. After the success of the Huawei Watch GT 2 and it’s different versions, the company unleashes a cheaper watch: Huawei Watch GT 2e. The company designed the watch for all the fitness lovers, who are also seeking for a luxury wearable. Design & Display

The dials on GT 2 are replaced by buttons on GT 2e. Huawei changed the design a bit to make it more trendy rather than classy. The rubber straps have holes in it to support the statement, which the company calls Fluoroelastomer strap. The front of the device is made out of glass whereas the back is made out of metal and plastic. Sadly, we don’t get premium ceramic back as in GT 2. The side is covered with stainless steel. Huawei Watch GT 2e weighs around 43g, which is a bit on the heavier side. The watch comes in four color options, Graphite Black, Lava Red, Mint Green, and Icy White.

The display used here is a circular 1.39″ 454 x 454 pixels AMOLED screen. It’s the same screen used as in Watch GT 2. So, you will get the same viewing experience for a lower price for sure. The display should have enough contrast and brightness for outdoor usage as well.

Performance

The CPU used in the device is Huawei’s own Kirin A1 SoC. This is the same as we’ve seen on the Watch GT 2 as well. You will get 4GB of internal storage with 16 MB of RAM. Considering the competition in the Nepalese market, the Oppo Watch series provides a much bigger RAM and ROM option than Huawei Watch GT 2e. This doesn’t mean the watch would not perform well. You should not notice any lag while using fitness apps and monitoring your health condition. The chip-set should use less battery and provide you enough juice to play with the features all day. The smartwatch runs on the Huawei Wearable platform, called Lite OS. It also supports Bluetooth 5.1, so the connection with your smartphone should be no problem for the device.

Sensors & Features

Huawei Watch GT 2e has all the essential sensors available, like an optical heart rate sensor, gyroscope, air pressure sensor, etc. There are tons of features you will love to explore all day. The device supports live heart rate monitoring, as expected. It will push notifications if your heart rate is abnormal. You can monitor your sleep, track your location while walking, running, or cycling as well. Huawei watches are well known to work extremely well to show your location, this version should be no different.

You can take the watch to swim without any worry, as it is water-resistant up to 50m. There are staggering 100 workout modes to choose from, including parachuting, parkour, and skateboarding. The user could try all the features all day long as there is a 455mAh battery. The company claims that the battery should last about 2 weeks easily, but it should be tested in daily life as these values are taken at lab conditions. You can track your oxygen level with dedicated SP02 tracking as well, which comes in handy in many life-threatening situations as well. But, you may not use it for medical purposes, just a caution.
