Coolpad Cool S Overview
Cool S is a mid-range device offering premium design choices. As for design materials, it offers a glass back with a glass front. The back consists of an glossy finish. We get a punch-hole cutout design, which looks modern. There is Coolpad logo on the back of the device along with additional information. The phone comes in three color options, Night Black, Lapis Blue, and Moon White.
The display on Cool S is 6.53″ FHD+ IPS LCD display with 1080*2340 pixels resolution. On the performance side, we get a bit outdated MediaTek Helio P60 processor that is built on 12nm process. It has 4*Arm Cortex A73 (2.1GHz) + 4* Arm Cortex A53 (2.0GHz). So, it’s not the best performing device on the market for the price for sure. There is 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage for power hungry apps and large files.
For the shooters, we get quad camera setup with 48MP(Samsung GM1)+8MP(ultra-wide)+5MP(macro)+0.3MP(for night images) combination. But honestly, that 0.3MP sensors seems obviously useless. There is a 25MP, Sony IMX576 sensor fixed focus camera for shooting selfies.
Battery on the phone is 5000mAh large battery with USB Type-C charger support. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock feature for security. You also get 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone.
