Finally, the largest event of Association of Computer Engineering Students, ACES-TECHFEST-4.0, presented by DishHome Fibernet has been successfully conducted at IOE-Purwanchal Campus, Dharan. The event was held from Poush 5 to Poush 13. The event was supported by Leapfrog Technology and co-sponsored by Microsoft, Sikshya Technology and Scholarsspace. During the fest number of events were conducted with an aim to help the students in enriching their skills and confidence.
More About ACES TechFest 4.0
The fest was started on 5th of Poush. On the opening ceremony president of ACES, campus chief, vice campus chief, HOD, other teaching staffs and number of students were present. The very first day ERC-QUIZ was conducted. The team from Electronics faculty secured first position whereas the team from Mechanical department got second position.
The next event was one of the grand events i.e., HACKATHON. 12 teams from within the college and also from nearby cities like Itahari, Biratnagar participated in the event. Team TwoZeroZero from ERC got the title of HACKATHON WINNER while team ERC3 from ERC and team Nesque from Itahari International College secured second and third position respectively.
Live coding and Debugging were conducted through online medium(hackerrank.com) where participants from all around our country along with Indian Universities took active participation. Atish Shah from IOE-PULCHOWK secured first position in live coding and debugging. Bikalpa Dhakal from Nepal College of Information Technology got second position in live coding and Sandeep Chhetry from IOE-ERC got second position in live debugging.
In addition to this awareness program on “Microsoft Imagine Cup” and “IDEATHON” was done by Mr. Milan Thapa with large number of participants. Photocontest has been conducted through online medium.
Post-Event
Gamefest and Online blog writing competition (via scholarsspace – Nepal largest online learning Network) are being conducted as post-events. President of ACES-8th Committee, Mr. Kushal Adhikari says, “t was hard conducting those events amidst the pandemic and other difficulties but with the help of college and the respective department made it easier for the successful completion of event”. He along with the whole committee is thankful towards all the participants, audiences and the sponsors without whom this event would not have been possible.
