Xiaomi launched its Xiaomi 12s series recently in China just after Xiaomi 12 series at the beginning of this year. Though the design and looks are alike to the 12 series, the new series has gained the attraction of its new model Xiaomi 12s Ultra for its unique camera design different from all its existing smartphones. Xiaomi 12S Series Price in Nepal and Availability:
Though the Xiaomi 12s series is exclusively launched in China, we can expect this phone will go global and also arrive in Nepal, However, officials will confirm it. We have expected the following price range if this series is launched in Nepal.

Design and Display
Talking about the design, the Xiaomi 12s, and Xiaomi 12s Pro are rocking a similar design to Xiaomi 12 series, especially at the back. Since they have preferred to go with a cleaner design with the camera placed vertically. Similarly, at the front, there is only a little change where the front punch-hole cut-out is shifted to the top middle instead of its left positioning seen in the last year’s Xiaomi Mi 11. Whereas Xiaomi 12s Ultra has got the center of attraction due to its new camera design. It features a 1-inch wide camera fit in the leather-finished back panel. The other two cameras including telephoto and ultrawide fit right inside a 1-inch diameter module.
More often talking about the display, Xiaomi 12s features a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display panel, Xiaomi 12s Pro features a 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display and Xiaomi 12s Ultra features a 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO2 AMOLED display panel. All of them have an adaptive 120Hz screen refresh rate.
Performance
When talking about performance, it indicates its processor and software. Talking about the processor, all smartphones of Xiaomi 12S incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which is a 4nm mobile processor. Alongside, the phone boots on the latest MIUI 13 on top of Android 12.
On the memory and storage side, all the smartphone has two RAM variants 8GB or 12GB. Both the Xiaomi 12s and 12s pro has three variants of internal storage capacity 128GB,256GB, and 512GB whereas Xiaomi 12s Ultra has 256GB and 512GB internal storage option.

Camera
To be exact, Xiaomi 12s Ultra has been the center of attraction due to its new camera design which features a 1-inch wide camera module that is co-developed with Leica. The 12s series features a triple camera setup among which 12s consist 50MP primary, 13MP Ultrawide, and 5MP telephoto camera. Similarly, 12s Pro has got itself a 50MP primary, 50MP Ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto camera. Xiaomi 12s Ultra is no different as it has changed its ultrawide camera and telephoto camera both to 48MP keeping the same 50MP primary camera similar. It has 3.2µm individual pixels and uses 4-in-in binning technology to produce 12.5MP images by default.

Talking about the battery, Xiaomi 12 series fuel from 4500 mAh, 4600mAh, and 4860mAh battery respectively. the Xiaomi 12s series has got fast charging from 65W for 12s, 120W charger for 12s Pro, and 67W charger for 12s Ultra.
In the connectivity, like other common smartphone, it has also got Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Beidou / NavIC / GLONASS / QZSS, NFC, 5G, USB Type-C.
Verdict
Overviewing the smartphones of the 12s series, the design is inherited from the previous 12 series unless it comes to 12s Ultra. The 12s Ultra is given a premium look by its leather finishing touch in the rear panel. Though the specs clashes between them, it is really hard to choose. To be economical in Nepal in case this phone launches here, the price will somehow will be out of affordability.
