WordCamp Nepal 2024, the annual WordPress conference in Nepal, concluded on January 13, 2024 with over 1000 WordPress enthusiasts from across the country participating. The two-day event, held at the Hotel Pokhara Grande, offered a variety of learning opportunities, networking activities, and fun experiences for the participants.
The first day of the event was the Contributor’s Day, where participants got the opportunity to contribute to the WordPress project in various ways, such as coding, testing, documenting, and more. More than 620 participants joined the Contributor’s Day, making it the largest Contributor’s Day event of any WordCamp in Nepal so far.
The second day of the event was the Conference Day, which featured 22 sessions from national and international speakers on various topics related to WordPress, such as development, design, marketing, entrepreneurship, and more. There was also a session from Mahabir Pun, the social innovator and founder of the National Innovation Centre Nepal.
There was also a panel discussion on Policies and Progress for Nepal’s IT Future, where the participants attended with curiosity and enthusiasm, and discussed the current challenges and opportunities for the IT sector in Nepal.
The event ended with a lively after-party, where the participants celebrated and networked with each other.
WordCamp Nepal 2024 was a remarkable event for the WordPress community in Nepal. It was organized by WordPress Nepal, a community of WordPress users and developers in Nepal. WordPress Nepal has chapters in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bharatpur, Butwal, Birgunj, and Biratnagar. The event demonstrated the growing popularity and potential of WordPress in Nepal, and the passion and dedication of the WordPress community. The event also motivated the attendees to learn more and do more with WordPress.
