Vivo X50 Series Launched: World’s Thinnest 5G Phone, Gimbal-Style Camera

Vivo just launched the X50 series with not just one or two, but three straight new additions to the Vivo family at once. The Vivo X50 series featuring a Gimbal camera and powerful Snapdragon 865 processor has brought Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro, and Vivo X50 Pro+ in the market. So, let’s dive into the phones and their specifications.

Vivo X50 Pro + Overview:

The Vivo X50 Pro debuted with a 6.56-inch full-HD+ (1080×2376 pixels) AMOLED curved-edged display with 398ppi pixel density, refresh rate on this premium variant goes up to 120Hz and also has HDR10+ support. It also has an exclusive leather finish back panel.

On the inside, it comprises of Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with Adreno 620 GPU and has up to 8GB of RAM and also supports up to 12GB RAM. More to that, up to 256GB Internal storage is also offered by the Pro+ sibling while it runs on Android 10-based Fun touch OS 10.5 and supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology.

In terms of snap-shooters, the Vivo X50 Pro comprises of a quad-camera setup with a  50-megapixel main shooter with 1/1.3-inch pixel size for better low light photography along with f/1.6 aperture, a 13-megapixel portrait camera with f/2.46 aperture, an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter with f/3.4 aperture, and an 8-megapixel macro camera with f/2.2 aperture. It offers various features and the best part being the gimbals camera system.

The gimbal camera system reduces the shake in handheld video footage while shooting video. As for the shooters, Vivo X50 comprises a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel portrait camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. And as for the selfie purpose, Vivo X50 has a 32-megapixel selfie camera inside a hole-punch cutout. It also comes acquired with a lot of features.

So as for Pricing, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is available in two colour variants blue and black and is priced at CNY 4,998  for the 8GB + 128GB storage option, at CNY 5,498 for the 8GB + 256GB storage option, and at CNY 5,998 for the 12GB + 256GB storage option. The Vivo X50 Pro+ will go on sale sometime in July.

So the next variant, Vivo X50 offers three color variants in Black Mirror, Shallow, and Liquid Oxygen. It is priced at CNY 3,498 in China for the 8GB + 128GB storage option and at CNY 3,898 for the 8GB + 256GB option. As for availability, the phone is up for pre-sale right now on the official website and will go on sale from June 6.

Now, the third and final variant Vivo X50 Pro offers two color variant Black Mirror and Liquid Oxygen and is priced at CNY 4,298  for the 8GB + 128GB storage option and at CNY 4,698  for the 8GB + 256GB storage option. The Vivo X50 Pro is also up for pre-sale on the official website and will go on sale from June 12.
