The iPhone 11 Trio: iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max Quick Review

The new iPhones have launched in the market and it has few new additions to it in comparison to the X series. The main focus this time is the camera with their dual set up in the 11 and the triple rear camera setup in the Pro series. The iPhone 11 comes in Black, Green, Yellow, Purple, White, and Product RED whereas the 11 Pro and 11 Pro max come in Gold, Space Gray, Silver and Midnight Green. Design:

The iPhone 11’s design is very similar to the XR’s. It has a glass back with a matte finish on the camera bump and the aluminum rims which come in six different color variants Black, Green, Yellow, Purple, White, and Product RED. Four of the colors which were already there for the iPhone XR. It falls in the middle while comparing it with its counterparts in terms of height, with the height of a 6.1 inch. The factor that helps you differentiate this phone from the XR, as well as it’s Pro counterparts, is its dual rear camera setup.

The iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max has a glass body with a matte finish while their camera bumps have a glossier look to it. It has stainless steel on the frames. Both of these phones come in four colors, Gold, Space Gray, Silver, and Midnight Green.  These phones have the same height as the XS and XS Max where the 11 Pro max is 6.5 inch and the 11 Pro is 5.8 inches.

The headphone jack has been long gone and hasn’t made a comeback. The IP ratings of these three phones are the same that is IP 68.

Software and Performance:

The new line has been powered by the new, much faster and efficient A13 Bionic chip. The CPU performance is the best in the market. Apple has said that both of its large high-performance CPU cores and the four energy-efficient CPU cores are 20 percent faster than the previous. The GPU is a custom quad-core design and said to be 20 percent faster.

Camera:

The cameras are the major focus. iPhone 11 has a dual rear camera setup as it has a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture and a 12-MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.4 aperture also the front camera is 12MP.

The iPhone 11 Pro and the Pro Max have the triple rear camera setup as it has 12-MP wide with an f/1.8 aperture, 12-MP ultra-wide with an f/2.4 aperture which also has the 120 degrees field of view and 12-MP telephoto with an f/2.0 aperture. So, it has two times more optical zoom in and out, two times more optical image stabilization with the wide and telephoto lens.

One of the most attractive features on the camera has been the night mode. The picture quality turns out amazing even in low light. How can we miss the new term “Slofies” which basically records your selfie videos at 120 fps. The front camera can also shoot a 4k video at 60 fps. These phones offer “Quicktake” which means you can capture videos while also shooting still images by long-pressing the shutter.

Screen:

The iPhone 11 has a screen size of 6.1 inch LCD display and a 1792 x 828 resolution same as the iPhone XR whereas the iPhone 11 pro and iPhone 11 pro max has a screen size of 5.8 and 6.5 inches. The 11 pro max has the best resolution amongst the three with 2688 x 1242 and the 11 pro has 2436 x 1125 with an OLED screen. So, the Pro models will have deeper blacks and more accurate colors. Now you have the haptic touch instead of 3D touch.

Battery life:

In the last X series, the phone with the best battery was iPhone XR, in fact, Apple said that it had the best battery ever on iPhone. This time they have claimed the 11 to have an hour longer battery life than the XR. The iPhone 11 Pro lasts up to 4 hours longer than iPhone XS and the 11 Pro Max lasts up to 5 hours longer than Xs Max. All these phones have wireless charging capability. You’ll be getting an 18W charger in the box if you purchase the Pro models but for the 11 you will be getting the same old 5W charger.

Others:

Apple had left the fingerprint since its X series and it’s all face id now. Face ID is enabled by the TrueDepth camera for facial recognition which is said to be 30% faster than before. As the stereo speaker system had been introduced in the last series, the iPhones had amazing sound but now Apple has taken it further with spatial audio and a 3D sound model. Its water resistance is high with IP 68 in all the three phones but the 11 has the capacity to be dunked in 2m up to 30 minutes whereas the 11 Pro and the Pro Max can be dunked in 4m up to 30 minutes.
