“Moving Movements” a TEDx event hosted by TEDxPutalisadak to promote emerging ideas of innovations, activism, entrepreneurship, leadership, and culture concluded successfully on February 6, 2021.
The event was held at Arpan Banquet Pvt. Ltd. and featured a range of individual stories and ideas from six wonderful and inspiring speakers. They primarily advocated for various much needed changes in all tiers of the society.
TEDxPutalisadak: Moving Moments
TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community- basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all of them have a common feature; to help individuals spark conversation and build meaningful relationships.
The lead organizer of the event Mr. Ajay Pandey shared,
“We organized TEDxPutalisadak with the motive of bringing out local stories and ideas of Nepal and promoting it on global platforms. We would be coming up soon with next TEDx Event with another series of amazing stories.”
Sessions:
The first speaker of the event, Mr. Kiran Nepali stunned the audience with his inspiring talk urging the people to save the traditional folk instruments esp. ‘Sarangi’ and struck the audience in awe with his wonderful performance. An innovative presentation from Ms. Sunita Dangol regarding her inspiration of working on preserving the culture and script of traditional Nepal by teaching the younger generation about the importance of script and language.
Mr. Pradip Khatiwada prompted the importance of data and information on crisis management and Mr. Maheshwor Kumar Nakarmi shared his story on how he overcame all the challenges to become the first licensed aircraft mechanic. His stories of inner contentment from living his dream at a very young age was received well by the listeners.
Mr. Manoj Gyawali shared his journey from failing at school to leading an entire bank. He advocated on the importance of building skills and having a positive mindset on our working sectors. Ms. Nishma Dhungana Choudhary emphasized the importance of mental health and also her journey battling gender inequality around her.
The program also included musical performances, poetry and a magical show to entertain the audience present.
