After a month of leaks and rumors, Samsung has officially launched the newest phone in it’s newest lineup in the F series: Galaxy F41 in India. It’s quite surprising that we haven’t seen any phone in this lineup and suddenly the company comes up with the name, F41. The phone has the same specs as the Galaxy M31, but with different color options and without an extra camera at a lower price. So, let’s take a look at the phone and whether it is re-branded version of Galaxy M31, with Samsung Galaxy F41 price in Nepal.
Samsung Galaxy F41 Overview
Design & Display
The phone features plastic back with gradient finish, the company calls it “holographic effect”. The phone has 8.9mm sleek design with 191gm weight. Galaxy F41 comes in three color options: Fusion Green, Fusion Blue and Fusion Black.
The display used here is a beautiful 6.4″ FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U panel. It has U-shaped notch, hence the name. This is a pretty nice looking display with 420 nits of peak brightness. We have seen Samsung using AMOLED displays in most of their phones. After testing, we found that they were the best displays you can get at those price points. So, the quality of display used here should be quite good too because Samsung is the leading manufacturer in this technology. With deep blacks and enough contrast, you will enjoy watching your favorite content in Galaxy F41.
Camera
As for camera, we get a triple camera setup on the back. There is 64MP, f/1.8 primary sensor with 8MP ultra-wide lens and 5MP sensor for depth information. We don’t get an extra macro lens as on Galaxy M31, but I think macro lens is just a gimmick and not much of use in daily life. So, omitting the macro sensor saves some cost for the company and for users too.
For selfie, there is the same 32MP, f/2.0 sensor with HDR support as in Galaxy M31. You can also record 4K videos with front facing camera on Galaxy F41.
Performance
There is a trend set by Samsung, they will use the same chip-set in possibly every devices that comes at price range of 200$-300$, without a single exception. This device is no exception with the use of same Exynos 9611 processor. It is an octa-core CPU based on 10nm manufacturing process. It is an efficient chipset, compared to some of it’s competitors from Qualcomm and MediaTek. In terms of performance, this phone is good enough for daily usage with low to mid-end gaming. We are yet to see Samsung using another chip-set for their mid-range phones and we would love to see it.
We can get 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of UFS 2.1 storage in the device. The RAM technology used here is LPDDR4X, meaning you can do multitasking with ease.
Other Features
There is a massive 6000mAh battery, probably the largest we have seen in any mainstream mid-range smartphones. But, with only 15W USB Type-C charging support, the phone may take forever to charge. There is a fingerprint scanner at the back for security. The phone offers Android 10 and One UI Core 2.1 on top.
