Samsung, a well-known company in the smartphone market, has launched its latest smartphone in the mid-range segment- Samsung Galaxy A21s. Having a power-efficient 8nm chipset from the same company, can it deliver the performance needed for today’s modern needs? Let’s find out.
Samsung Galaxy A21s overview
The Galaxy A21s offers decent features for the price category- the most notable being its power-efficient processor. It is Samsung’s own Exynos 850 which is based on the 8nm fabrication process. Galaxy A21s is the first phone to pack this chipset. It is an octa-core processor with 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. So it should handle day to day tasks flawlessly without compromising much on battery life.
The camera on this phone is a star of the show too. The phone sports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP(f/2.0) primary sensor, 8MP(f/2.2) ultra-wide, 2MP(f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP(f/2.4) lens for portrait photography. So with large sensor sizes and with Samsung’s software optimization, the phone should do well in the camera department, at least on daylight.
At the front, Galaxy A21s has a 6.5″ TFT LCD display panel with HD+ resolution. It has a hole punch at the top left corner of the screen for a 13MP selfie camera. With a large screen and only HD+ resolution, we will have to see if the display can deliver the best viewing experience for the viewers.
Powering the phone, there is a 5000mAH battery with 15W fast charging support. It comes with a USB 2.0, Type-C fast charger which should charge the massive battery pretty quickly. We have a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone for security. The phone comes with Android 10 out of the box with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 on top.
