Pubg Mobile, one of the most played battle royale game in the world has become the highest earning mobile game of 2020. Despite facing ban in India,which used to be it’s main market, PUBG mobile managed to generate a revenue close to $2.6 billion in 2020
The data was published by highly credible app analytics firm Sensor Tower.which used to publish downloads, revenue and usage data of play store and app store every year. Honor of Kings, and Pokemon go followed pubg mobile in 2nd and third place respectively and hugely popular game coin master and roblux completed the top 5 . Honor of Kings, another game published by tencent accumulated $2.5 billion whose mainly come from China . Generating $1.2 billion niantic Pokemon go came in third place ahead of coin master and roblux which earned $1.1 billion each in 2020.
The figures are significantly higher as compared to the previous year as the covid-19 pandemic and lockdown played the huge role in the expenditure of general public in Mobil games. During this year the mobile game industry accumulated approximately $75 billion, which is the increase of 19.5 percent from last year. All top five mobile games including PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings Pokemon go, coin master and roblux have generated more than $1 billion in 2020
