Overview of Nothing Phone (1):

Design and Display

The design of Nothing Phone (1) has been making so many discussions since it has revealed its photo. The most talked-about feature of the Nothing Phone (1) is its transparent back. This makes it look completely different from any other smartphone on the market. The design of the device and earphones are similar. Both products are available in white and clear plastic packaging with a visible interior. The Multiple LED lights on the back keep blinking during notifications, charging progress, and ringtones. The smartphone is 7.6mm thick and has a weight of 199 g.

In the display section, the Nothing Phone (1) flaunts 6.55 inches Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels (FHD+) and a refreshes rate of 120Hz. The phone has only two color options: Black and White.

Performance and Storage

The Nothing Phone (1) incorporates Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset accompanied with Adreno 642L GPU and paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. In the storage section, the phone presents 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB internal storage.

Talking about its operating system, the phone will be running the latest Android 12 with Nothing’s own UI. They recently released their launcher which is available for devices running on Android 11 or later. The officials confirmed that the OS will get updated in 3 years.

Camera

The back of the device will feature two cameras in a pill-shaped dual setup. The main primary camera on the phone includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. A 50-megapixel ultrawide lens having 114 degrees of field of view will be available with the camera. The camera comes with Dual Image Stabilization. There will be a 16 MP front camera inside the punch hole. From the rear camera, you can record up to 4k videos and from the front camera, you can shoot videos in 1080p.

The phone is fueled by the 4500 mAH huge Battery. Along with it, you got the 33W wired fast charger, which will charge your phone 100% in approx. 1 hour according to officials. Additionally, The phone can be charged using 15W wireless charging and it supports a 5W reverse charging system. The USB Type-C cable will be there for charging. However, you won’t get the charger in the box.

Talking about connectivity, it features a 5G network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM, a USB Type-C port, etc.
