Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) has processed total transaction of over NPR. 84 B through its payment systems on the last day of Poush 2080. Both transaction volume and value has increased by 60 percent and 70 percent respectively as compared with the same day last year. NCHL-ECC, NCHL-IPS and RPS has processed transactions equivalent of NPR. 41 B, NPR. 14 B and NPR. 29 B respectively on the last day of the second quarter.
Real-time transactions in RPS has seen massive transactions initiated from connectIPS (App, Web, Gateway), CORPORTEPAY, bank branches, mobile banking, wallets and NPI integrated channels/ systems.
During the day, NCHL-IPS and RPS systems also witnessed Government revenue collections of over NRs. 1.6 B and expenses of over NPR.6.8 B equivalent to over 1.25 lakh transactions. Such Government payments are enabled from various channels of connectIPS, CORPORATEPAY, NEPALPAY QR gateway, Bank branches, mobile banking and wallets.
NCHL systems are used by over 53 banks & financial institutions (BFIs) as its direct members and over 100 non-bank institutions as indirect or technical members. The BFIs have extended the payment service through its over 7,000 branches and the indirect/ technical members have extended to its customer channels.
