Corporates are initiating from their own side to contribute to Corporate Social Activities (CSR) these days. As an initiative for CSR, Nabil Bank has started the “Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship” (Nabil SSE) in collaboration with Tribhuvan University.
On November 26, the bank held an event at Tribhuvan Univesity and announced the official launch of Nabil SSE. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Dharma Kanta Baskota, Vice-Chancellor, TU as the Chief Guest, Nabil Bank’s CEO Anil Keshary Shah, Vice Chairman Nirvana Chaudhary, and other stakeholders.
Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship will focus on creating learning programs for social entrepreneurship with collaboration with various knowledge partners along with TU.
Furthermore, the Bank has teamed with the School for Social Entrepreneurs India (SSE India), which will serve as a ‘Technical Partner’ to help discover, support, and encourage entrepreneurial ability among those working to have a positive effect on the world.
About Nabil School of Entrepreneurship
The Nabil School of Entrepreneurship aims to encourage social entrepreneurship as a means of promoting socio-economic change. As part of Nabil Bank’s CSR initiative, which focuses on innovative solutions to long-term social concerns, it would benefit society.
Nabil SSE will be offering two different programs namely:
- Fellowship Program in Social Entrepreneurship
- Certificate Course in Social Entrepreneurship
The Fellowship Program will last six months and will be run in collaboration with Tribhuvan University’s School of Management and Faculty of Management.
In this regard, the bank has already partnered with the following 7 campuses under Tribhuvan University to offer courses on social entrepreneurship.
- Mahendra Morang Adarsha Multiple Campus (Province 1)
- Birgunj Public College (Province 2)
- Campion College (Bagmati Province)
- Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pokhara University (Gandaki Province)
- Kshitiz International College (Lumbini Province)
- Surkhet Model College (Karnali Province)
- Sudur Pashchimanchal Academy (Province 7)
Hence all those enthusiasts of social entrepreneurship can apply for the courses by the Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship. The school aims to enroll 700 participants in this program annually all over Nepal.
