Apple has officially announced its next big product event happening on September 12th, where the company is expected to unveil the new iPhone 15 lineup, Apple Watch Series 9, and more.
The event invite features the tagline ‘Wonderlust’ along with the rumored colors of the upcoming titanium iPhone 15 Pro models. This hints at the new iPhones being one of the main focuses of the keynote.
iPhone 15 Lineup: USB-C, Titanium, and More
The iPhone 15 series is rumored to finally make the switch from Lightning to USB-C, matching most other smartphones and tablets on the market. This could spur accessory makers to update their products to USB-C as well, including a potential shift for AirPods.
In addition to the new connector, we’re expecting the usual upgrades to the camera system, displays, and processors. The Pro models may also lose the physical SIM card slot in favor of eSIM-only connectivity.
Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2: Faster, Smarter, and Tougher
For the Apple Watch, the Series 9 and rumored Apple Watch Ultra 2 will likely feature faster processors and subtle design tweaks. A new woven nylon band with a magnetic clasp has been rumored as well.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 may add a darker titanium color option to match the high-end iPhones. This would essentially be a spec-bump update to the larger, rugged Ultra model that launched earlier this year.
How to Watch the ‘Wonderlust’ Event Live
As with most Apple events lately, this one will be pre-recorded with select media attending in person at Apple Park. You can watch the ‘Wonderlust’ event live on Apple’s official YouTube channel. The online video stream starts at 10:45 PM Nepali Time on September 12th.
