IME Pay, powered by IME Remit is one of the leading payment gateways in Nepal. IME Pay launched its first app on March 10, 2017, becoming the first Digital Wallet to get the license as a Payment Service Provider from Nepal Rastra Bank. The payment gateway has now come up with IME Pay Reward Points system.
Recently the app came with a much-requested Reward Points feature where users now will get reward points while making payments and redeem the points with money. You can earn up to Rs.1000 using the IME pay reward points system. To become eligible for collecting earning Reward Points you need to verify your KYC. The reward points have been divided into 3 levels.
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
IME Pay has mentioned that redeeming reward points will not affect your progress to go next level.
IME Pay can be used to make Utility Payments (Mobile Top-up, Landline, Internet, TV, Electricity, and Water), Ticketing (Airlines, Chandragiri Cable Car and Movie), EMI Payments and Merchant Payments (Restaurant, Shopping and Health Service). Besides these, you can pay your bills at Petrol Pumps using IME Pay’s Scan and Pay feature.
Along with the Utility Payments, IME Pay can be used to Send – Receive Money, Add Money (load money in your wallet using IME Control Number directly without going to remittance to receive money) and Withdraw Money (deposit money from your IME Pay wallet directly to 40+ Banks of Nepal).
IME Pay is currently available for Android and iOS users as they don’t have a web version of the app. IME Pay comes with two different apps: IME Pay for general users and IME Pay Agent for Business users.
