Just 2 days before Christmas, Huawei launched new gifts for smartphone enthusiasts: Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro. They are successors to Nova 7 series, but with much fewer improvements over them. Huawei Nova 8 Pro Overview
Nova 8 Pro doesn’t bring any significant advantages over the regular Nova 8 in terms of the design. We get the same design and pretty much the same color pattern. The camera bump on the back is also the same, with only difference in selfie camera module, as of aesthetics are concerned.
There is a larger 6.72″ 1236 x 2676 pixels with higher 120Hz refresh rate. It’s an OLED panel with HDR10 support and 300Hz touch sampling rate. We get the same Kirin 985 5G octa-core CPU with octa-core Mali G77 GPU. For photo and videography, there is a quad-camera setup on the back with 64MP(primary)+8MP(ultra-wide)+2MP(depth)+2MP(macro) sensors. For selfies, there is a dual camera setup with 32MP(100˚ ultra-wide) and 16MP, f/2.0 sensors.
There are two variants, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. Juicing up the phone is a larger 4000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. Some of the cons of both the devices maybe pointed out as it doesn’t support google play services, lack of headphone jack and non-expandable storage.
